Michael Phelps Donates $1 Million to Inspire Lil Swimmers His mama must be proud! It seems that golden boy Michael Phelps, who struggled with ADHD in his youth and found his focus in the swimming pool, is hoping to pass that passion on to other water babes. The winningest Olympian just established The Michael Phelps Foundation with the hefty bonus his sponsor Speedo awarded him for breaking Mark Spitz's record.
Jessica Simpson toted her big brown bag from night to day having dinner at Beso with Ken Paves yesterday evening before stopping by the tanning salon and off to the airport this morning. With his first regular season game coming up this weekend, Jessica's man Tony wasn't by his girl's side, but apparently he's been busy promoting her album to his teammates, handing out signed CDs, and listening to it constantly. He's not the only smitten kitten, however; as we all read, Jess called him the love of her life last week, and she apparently also refers to him as FBD (future baby daddy) to her friends. Well, at least we know she's good with kids.
Halle Berry looked beautiful in a flowy printed dress to enjoy the nice weather in LA on Monday. It was a big holiday weekend for Halle, who finally showed off little Nahla during a trip to the zoo on Saturday. It was a pleasant surprise that Halle finally decided to share her mini me with the world but she wasn't the only celebrity baby out and about this weekend.

Directed by Gus Van Sant, the movie follows the true story of Harvey Milk, the nation's first gay official of any major American city, who was assassinated shortly after his election to office.

It's confirmed, Britney Spears will be on stage to kick off the VMAs this Sunday in LA! Don't get your hopes too high — she won't be performing — but she will open the show. According to a statement from Brit, "MTV has long played an important role in my career. How can I not be there to kick off their 25th VMAs? I'm excited to open the entire show, to say hi to my fans and to be nominated." After seeing her hilarious promos with Russell Brand, I can't wait to see what they come up with for Britney even if she won't be showing off her moves or any new music. What do you think — are you excited that Britney Spears will open the VMAs?
