Lauren Conrad showed off more fabulous clothes this weekend when she was spotted around town with My Boys' Kyle Howard. Although Lauren denies the two are together, they were seen at the movies on Friday before going out to Teddy's, which sounds an awful lot like a date to us. We can't get enough of Lauren's amazing Summer outfits but we're really looking forward to the hot and fit cast returning to the small screen tonight for the season premiere of The Hills. Maybe Kyle will be making an appearance this season — even if it's just as a friend.

Last night in Pasadena stars came out to grace the red carpet and stage at the 2008 Alma Awards. Once again, Eva Longoria played host for the night and showed off a few costume changes like she did at last year's awards. Jessica Alba didn't have Cash with her to gaze lovingly like Eva and Tony, but she lit up the red carpet all the same continuing her smiley weekend. America Ferrera took home Entertainer of the Year while Shakira was named Humanitarian of the Year. Zac Efron and Ashley Tisdale were on hand to present a special achievement award to High School Musical 2 director Kenny Ortega. Some of our favorite shows like Ugly Betty, Scrubs, Lost, and How I Met Your Mother were also honored at the event, check out the full list of winners here. The show airs Sept. 12 on ABC.

Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson kept their shades on late Saturday night while grabbing Mexican food and heading over to the theaters to watch Tropic Thunder. They weren't the only ones who wanted to watch Ben Stiller and Robert Downey Jr. in action, the movie took the top spot at the box office this weekend. LL and Samantha look like they are doing just fine despite all of the most recent rumors about Lindsay's previous relationship with Courtenay Semel. Whether or not Lindsay used to be with Courtenay, it seems pretty clear who she wants to spend her time with right now.

The Beckham clan all headed out of Los Angeles on Friday arriving at LAX looking perfectly coordinated. The three adorable boys were all matching as usual in their striped shirts and Adidas shoes — love it. The family of five was headed home to London to throw David's dad a surprise party after missing his 60th birthday last month. David was also busy blogging this week about the rough patch the Galaxy is going through and lamenting the closing of the greyhound track he worked at as a teen, but next weekend is going to be exciting when he's on hand to participate in the closing ceremony of the Beijing Olympics. If his sons make the trek with daddy he better watch out, because we all know Cruz is always ready to steal the show.

It was all smiles, stuffed animals, and Suri-loving for the Cruise family in NYC this weekend. After Tom put a huge smile on Katie's face taking her to rehearsal on Friday, the family met up for a walk downtown. Later they got all dressed up for dinner at Nobu with Ben Stiller, Christine Taylor and their daughter Ella — perhaps a little early celebration of Tropic Thunder's top spot at the box office this weekend. Tom and Suri dropped off Katie at rehearsal on Saturday and then headed to Chelsea Piers, before Tom tucked in his sleepy baby and was off to Giants Stadium for the Jets-Redskins game that night. On Sunday, Katie and Suri played on the slides and swings at Central Park and went shopping in the West Village. Watching sweet Suri grow up helps us understand why some think she calls the shots in the Cruise household.

John Mayer's been doing his best to keep a low profile since his split with Jennifer Aniston, but on Saturday night he peeked out from under his hoodie, posing for the paparazzi with a friend after dinner at La Esquina in NYC. He still couldn't find it in him to flash a smile, but he did open up big time to the photographers about his breakup. Here are a few highlights of what John had to say:

- "If you guys are going to run stuff and run every lie under the sun, have somebody stand up for somebody. Have me as a man who ended a relationship stand here and write some truth. Have me stand up for somebody and write that Jennifer Aniston is the smartest, most sophisticated person I think I've ever met."
- "She's one of the most lovely people I've ever met in my life and I'm going through something that's a very personal thing and you have to give that up. You have to give everything up because you can't have it all and it sucks."
- "I'm sorry that the story's not interesting," the 30-year-old added. "But it's about time that somebody stands up for that girl and I think she's great.
- "There's no lying, there's no cheating. There's no nothing. People are different, they have different chemistry, they have different lives. It's not about years, it's about going out with somebody, being truthful on the way in, being truthful in the middle and being truthful on the way out."
- "I ended a relationship because there is no lying. I ended a relationship to be alone because I don't want to waste somebody's time if something's not right. I don't waste people's time."

Nobody loves to have a field day with the paparazzi quite like John does, but this latest speech is definitely a sad turn for the musician and his wacky antics. It sounds like Jen is not the only one who's hurting right now, but at least it's sweet to know John is still one of Jen's biggest fans.
