Michael Jackson celebrates his 50th birthday today and even did a phone interview with GMA to talk about what he's been up to lately. Besides having a low-key day, he said that he still has all his dance moves and has been composing new music. It seems like the reclusive star is starting to come out of his shell a little bit, and though you weren't excited about his upcoming clothing line, are you open to seeing more from Michael Jackson?

Ashlee Simpson stopped by the Chanel store in LA yesterday. She looked cute in a tank top and jeans, though her denim collection has been a hot topic lately. A report claimed Ashlee was so unhappy about her pregnancy weight gain that she bought pairs of size 0 jeans to motivate herself after she has the baby. Ashlee blogged about the rumor, saying weight gain is the "absolute last thing" she's concerned with, she loves her stretchy top maternity jeans, and "my closet full of size 0s are being worn by Pete right now and he looks hot in them." She also called her pregnancy "the most inspiring, emotional, amazing experience of my life." That's the sassy, cute Ashlee we love; plus it sounds like Pete gets a new wardrobe out of the deal.
Back from their lengthy Summer family vacation around Europe, Heidi Klum and Henry spent some solo mother-son time in LA yesterday afternoon. The (sort of) almost birthday boy who turns 3 on Sept. 12 was rewarded with a ride in the cart and a balloon while shopping at Bristol Farms. Seeing Heidi and Seal's romantic getaway in Paris was one of our favorite Summer-loving moments, but it's still most heartwarming to see the supermodel just being a mom with her kids before it's off to yet another NY Fashion Week with the Project Runway crew.

Lindsay Lohan took a break from filming Ugly Betty in NYC yesterday to unwind with cigarettes and Samantha in NYC after the massive amount of drama that her father has been fueling in the past couple of days. After LL lashed out at him on her MySpace blog, her father answered back, blaming Dina for his suspicions about Samantha and saying that he's already got a TV special in the works to expose Dina for being a hypocrite. Here's a taste of what he wants to say:
"I've never taken or earned one penny from my daughter. Meanwhile, all the people around her, including her mother, are earning money off of her. They want publicity. They're there for self-serving reasons. I didn't have my own reality TV show. As far as I'm concerned, Samantha Ronson doesn't exist. I've met her. She can't even look in my eye. She knows I know what she's all about . . . She's controlling. Sooner or later, her relationship with Samantha will fall apart, and I'm sure Lindsay will come back someday and say, 'Daddy, you were right all along' — just like she did with so many other people in her past. I'm not holding out hope. I know she will."
Unfortunately, LL's family sadness doesn't end there. Her grandfather passed away yesterday, which has already brought more anger from Michael regarding Dina and their children. To top it all off, her uncle was sentenced to a year in prison for fraud. Lindsay seems to be staying busy with work and Samantha through it all, but unfortunately it looks like the Lohan family drama is here to stay.
