The Hills returned last night, and as promised there was plenty of drama. While the episode was all about emotional conversations, the girls were out in Malibu for a beach premiere party. They looked gorgeous in their party dresses, though Heidi's shoes look a little inconvenient for the sand — Audrina's bare feet are more like it. As for last night's episode, appears like Lo Bosworth is going to keep being the new villain on the show, while Audrina kind of seems over the whole thing. Doug is cute, but even from the previews that doesn't last long, and LC has a new guy in her life anyway. As for Heidi and Spencer, well, we all know how that conflict turns out. At least the food looked good and the drinks were flowing — were you paying attention? Did you watch last night? What did you think about the season four premiere?

After bringing his family to London with him to throw his dad a late birthday party, David Beckham was back on the field yesterday with the national team. He practiced with his fellow footballers before sitting down to get serious. The group got together to support the Stop Knife Crime Campaign where Becks recounted an emotional story about his friend who was paralyzed after being stabbed when they were just 13. Becks' heart always seems to be in the right place and we aren't the only ones loving him considering his life may be turned into a West End musical. Meanwhile, there's also some news waiting for him back at home — a new coach and manager for the Galaxy. Phew sounds like a lot of activity for the international superstar before heading to the Olympics closing ceremony this weekend.

Kate Hudson and Ryder were back at the beach on Sunday and this time they were joined by Kate's family including brother Oliver and her carbon copy mom Goldie Hawn (seriously, guess who?). Kate's been surrounding herself with loved ones since her split with Lance and now there are rumors that she's been calling Owen Wilson again. We can't help but like the two of them together but the constant back and forth can't be good for anyone involved. Maybe third time's a charm?
