Lil Big Screen: Fly Me To The Moon I remember my parents telling me where they were when Apollo 11 landed on the moon and Neil Armstrong uttered his famous, “That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.” Generations of children won't have the advantage of a first hand account.
Audrina Patridge's preferred method of cooling off is spending the afternoon at the pool in her bikini, but on Friday she had to settle for an iced tea instead. The starlet looked happy and tan, which comes as no surprise since she's got lots to smile about these days. After spending her Summer relaxing at the DKNY house, Audrina's got the fresh new season of The Hills coming up on Monday, with a brand new boy to watch it with. Now the only question left is whether she's given Justin Bobby the boot for good.
Recent birthday girl Charlize Theron threw on a few layers in LA with Stuart on Friday. Next on Charlize's schedule of events is a trip to the Democratic National Convention in Denver, to show off her Battle in Seattle as one of the political movie screenings in the Starz Green Room. Charlize will have the company of other celebs like Ben Affleck and Rosario Dawson, plus her man Stuart, and we're sure this opinionated lady will have plenty to talk about with her fellow Democrats.
He did it!! After winning gold medal number seven of these Olympics by one hundredth of a second on Saturday, record-setting gold number eight seemed to come a little easier for Michael Phelps Sunday morning in Beijing. Joined by his teammates Jason Lezak, Brendan Hansen, and Aaron Peirsol, the USA claimed gold in the 4x100 medley relay, setting a world record as they did it. The headline of course belongs to Michael Phelps and his eight gold medals, surpassing the record set by Mark Spitz at the 1972 Munich Olympics. Mr. Phelps could probably use a little relaxation after this amazing week that has been so much fun to watch. Congratulations to Michael Phelps, and thank you for making it so very entertaining for all of us!
As expected, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi were married Saturday afternoon. Their rep said, "Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi were married tonight in an intimate ceremony at their home in Los Angeles." The women announced their engagement back in May. The wedding was attended by 19 guests including both of their mothers. Ellen and Portia both wore Zac Posen, Portia in a light pink dress and Ellen in an all-white suit. We can't wait to hear more about the happy couple and their big day, but for now a big, big congrats to the newlyweds!
Madonna celebrates the big 5-0 today, and we couldn't think of a better way to pay homage to the superstar than with a ton of various slideshows, quizzes and other fun stuff across the Sugar network. She's been entertaining us both on and off the stage for the last few decades, so take a trip down memory lane with us and see how much you know about the Material Girl. Happy Birthday, Madonna!
Rihanna bundled up for her appearance on The Late Show and looked perfectly chic while waving to her New York fans. She kept things simple in all black but mixed patterns and textures to create a unique look.
