Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo took a break from their respective cowgirl country fair and cowboy preseason lifestyles for a dinner date at Nobu in Malibu last night. Looks like Jess was having a big laugh on her way to the car, holding on to Tony, who had his hands full with more than just her. Next week Tony will head to Denver for a preseason game while Jess stays in California for a country fair, but it can't be long until we see her back in the football stands, pink jersey and all.

Hayden Panetierre looked gorgeous and smiled big hosting last night's Whaleman Foundation Benefit at Eva Longoria's Beso, but the night took a turn for the dramatic for her family soon after she ducked out of the party with her boyfriend Milo Ventimiglia. Just a few hours after all being at the soiree together, Hayden's father was arrested for domestic violence. Alan Panettiere allegedly became upset and struck Hayden's mom Lesley in the face when he thought she "disrespected" him with her behavior at the party. So scary and sad for the whole family.

Kate Bosworth hit the beach on Friday with her man James Rousseau and some friends. James left the beachwear for his girlfriend in her tiny bikini, but he still showed off those shirtless model abs stripping off his flannel but keeping on his jeans. This cute couple has been laying pretty low this Summer, but we always like to see them with those big smiles frolicking around. Maybe next time they hit the beach Kate can convince her boy to wear something a little more conducive to beachside fun.

Katie Holmes continued to spend her mornings at rehearsals for All My Sons, but at least she gave Tom's jeans most of the weekend off. When she wasn't showing off her style around Manhattan, she showed Suri the nightlife with trips to the bowling alley and another Broadway hit before mixing it up with a helicopter ride yesterday. Poor Suri looked like she was exhausted from all her city fun — maybe Katie should stick to the playground to keep her little one smiling.

After fending off excited female fans on land, George Clooney took to the water again with some buddies over the weekend in Italy. Just another relaxing afternoon for the international man of leisure, drinking wine, catching rays, reading the newspaper. Lucky for us, Clooney also showed off those abs — mmm, very nice. Sadly, this weekend wasn't all good times for George after his Ocean's costar Bernie Mac passed away. Of the tragedy, George had this to say, "The world just got a little less funny.
