Jessica Alba was in mommy mode on Friday when she took her daughter Honor to a doctor's appointment in LA. Honor was all snuggled up in her Orbit Baby carrier so we sadly didn't get a peek at her cuteness on their girls only outing. Jessica wasn't on hand last weekend to pick up her Teen Choice Award for her work in The Eye, but it seems like her main focus right now is understandably on her new family.

On his career: "Look at the attention I get: It's because I throw a football. But that's what society values. That's not what God values. God could give a shi*t, as far as I'm concerned. He didn't invent the game. We did. I have some eye-hand coordination, and I can throw the ball. I don't think that matters to God."

This morning the sad news comes that comedian Bernie Mac has passed away from complications due to pneumonia. He was only 50 years old, and although he was in the hospital since Aug. 1, he was expected to recover. The comedian is survived by his wife Rhonda McCullough and their daughter Je'Niece. The stand-up comedian, Emmy-nominated sitcom actor, and one of the Oceans gang still has a few movies coming out, including Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa and Soul Men. Our thoughts go out to his family, friends, and fans.
