Lauren Conrad took a break from showing off her cute, trendy wardrobe to dress down in sweats in LA yesterday. After stopping by Whole Foods, LC and Lo grabbed Chloe for a workout in Runyon Canyon. The once tiny puppy is so big now, which hopefully means she's over her shoe-eating phase! LC has been everywhere these days and there seems to be no slowing down, including a guest spot on Greek. Luckily, Lauren seems to have already figured out how to keep the perfect balance between work, play, and staying fit, even as the phone calls keep rolling in.

In addition to ripping on the show as a whole, he refers to the Lohan family as "horrific people" and says Ali looks like a 60-year-old. Kate Hudson is on the cover of W's big September issue, and though she sports looks that are more high-fashion than her usual laid-back style, in the interview she still seems to be a bubbly California girl. Kate sat down with the magazine earlier this Summer, before her split from Lance, to chat about her son, her family, and her love for the brothers Wilson. Here's more:
On her former co-stars: “I laughed so hard with Jason Lee,” she says of filming Almost Famous. “My connection with him — everything about his sense of humor just got me. And Luke and Owen!” she exclaims, referencing the Wilson brothers, with whom she worked on Alex & Emma and Dupree, respectively. “Man! I can’t get through anything with those two.”
On Ryder: "He’s super athletic. I just signed him up for tennis camp. He’s very good at riding a bike — no training wheels. And he’s skiing! I was at that age too, but not as good as he is.”
On having Ryder at 24: "Am I gonna look back and say, God, I wish I could have gone to that. . . that. . . concert? I’d rather be listening to my son sing songs. I’d rather be watching him sleep."

Britney Spears slipped on her high heels and a LBD to hit the town last night. She and her dad Jamie stopped by a party at friend Phil Maloof's house to help celebrate one of the bands on his record label. It seems like the Spears and Maloof families are closer than ever these days especially after their recent trip full of bikini basking in Cabo. Meanwhile, as exciting as it may have sounded, Brit's rep denied the rumor that she will be playing a lesbian stripper in Quentin Tarantino's new movie. Last night Brit was apparently the hit of the party even though she stayed roped off in a VIP section drinking Coke and smoking her cigarettes avoiding the paparazzi that snuck into the bash. Little by little Britney seems to be allowed to enjoy the nightlife scene again, only this time thankfully she seems in control of having a good time.
13 Memorable BFF Movies The female friendship movie is a totally different animal than the romantic comedy, and yet they often get lumped together under one big "chick flick" banner. Recent Summers have been heavy on the bromances (see Superbad, Knocked Up, Step Brothers, Pineapple Express, etc.) so I thought it would be fun to take a moment to remember some of the best (girl-mances? lady-mances?) girlfriend movies in honor of The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 opening this week.

From the gifts in her friend's hand it seems that there was some celebrating in order, but the ladies weren't toasting to Jen's rumored upcoming wedding. Despite the claims of some weeklies that Jen is getting ready to tie the knot and have her first child with John Mayer, her rep has already shut down both headlines. Jen and John seem pretty happy with their current unmarried status, so we're not surprised to hear they're not settling down and starting a family just yet.
