Never one to let a breakup get her down, Kate Hudson was looking sunny out in NYC yesterday and shopping for groceries at Whole Foods. Whether her extra friendliness with ex Chris Robinson means anything or if that's just the kind of relationship they have, I do like that she can keep a smile on her face. Plus, she's got something fun to look forward to — the short film Cutlass that she directed for Glamour last year will be showing at the Palm Springs International ShortFest at the end of the month alongside movies directed by Kirsten Dunst, Robert Redford, and others.
Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds announced their engagement back in May, but the couple haven't made any public appearances together since then, including last night's big red carpet premiere of Vicky Cristina Barcelona in LA. In an interview that airs tonight on ET Canada, Scarlett talks about how excited she is to marry a Canadian, but we're wondering whether these two will ever go through with it, especially considering Ryan has been engaged before and never tied the knot. Beyonce went for a stroll in NYC yesterday, showing the love for two of her favorite men: Jay-Z and Barack Obama. Between Ryan Reynolds's bumper, Ryan Phillippe's t-shirt collection and now Beyonce, Obama's "Progress" logo is certainly scoring with his supporters. Even in jeans and a tee, B accessorized her ensemble perfectly with her red pumps and sunglasses. Of course, our favorite part of the outfit was her husband's arm across her shoulders — so cute.
Katie Holmes has been a busy bee getting into her new rehearsal schedule for Broadway, but she's still managing to pack plenty of activities into her free time, like chopping her hair even shorter. Apparently she jetted back to LA on Monday for a quick stop at home before returning to Manhattan with Tom and Suri in time for work this morning to show off her new look. Now, if only we could see what kind of style Suri is rocking for her own little locks these days.
The Lost Cast: All Dressed Up (and Nowhere to Go For Seven Months) In ABC's collection of Lost images, there are always those posed photos of the individual cast members, standing in front of trees with the sun shining through the leaves. They're dressed in clothes their characters would wear on the island (which is to say, carefully distressed T-shirts and jeans). So I was surprised to come across a new set of photos in which they're all spiffed up — and clean.
Nicole and Joel were back to their LA life, doing some shopping in Santa Monica yesterday. Baby Harlow looks a little tuckered out in her stroller, but how precious are those bare feet? Maybe she's just exhausted after spending time on the road with her parents and uncle. While she's hands-down the cutest member of the Good Charlotte tour, we have a feeling Harlow was happy to get back home to her nursery and toys.
Kate Moss was all smiles leaving the SingStar Take That Extravaganza in London. She took a casual approach to the night, opting for patent leather flats and mismatched blacks.
