Aaron Eckhart took a break from all of his superhero red carpets to join other celebrities at the Hollywood Foreign Press Association's annual installation luncheon at the Beverly Hills Hotel. The HFPA gave out over $750, 000 in grant money to non-profit organizations and film schools at the event yesterday. Dakota Fanning looked sweet in her short blue dress and Rosario Dawson lightened up the room with her gorgeous smile posing with Mad Men's Jon Hamm. Who knows, maybe one day the kids on the receiving end of the support will be big Hollywood stars too.

Halle Berry ran some errands before meeting friends for dinner at Ketchup in LA yesterday. Once again, she makes a casual get-up look glamorous. Her ex-husband Eric Benet agrees, saying he hasn't spoken to Halle in a long time, but that she looks great and he's happy for her. Considering she's got plenty of love to share with Gabriel, Nahla, and even Obama, we're thinking Halle is happily moved on as well.

Rachel Bilson struggled a little with her hands free device for her BlackBerry — good law-abiding girl — between hitting the stores in LA yesterday. No sign of her constant companion Thurman Murman, though she probably could have tucked him away in that big bag of hers. We're not the biggest fans of her mid-day choice of footwear, which she dressed up before, but luckily we all know that Rachel has plenty of other stylish options waiting in her closet back home for next time.

Cutie James Franco offered a big grin and a wave to his fans on his way to The Late Show in NYC last night. He got to work promoting Pineapple Express before the big premiere tonight, and his chat with Dave was a very special one — his first! James admitted he was nervous as he talked about his grandma, his parents, and how working at McDonald's helped him practice acting and score dates. James has come a long way since his days manning the drive-thru, and we're looking forward to seeing a lot more of that smirk in the next couple of weeks.
