He is facing misdemeanor DUI chargers, and after "extensive" hand surgery he will apparently be out of commission on the set of Transformers 2 for the next month. A friend of Shia's claims that he'll take the whole thing very seriously and won't let himself continue to spiral out of control, but it wouldn't be the first time Shia has shown remorse for his bad behavior.
