The Cruise family headed to their house in Telluride this weekend to spend their Fourth of July in Colorado. Suri was beyond adorable showing her patriotic side with her American flag headband as she hung out in town with Tom, Katie, and Connor on Friday. On Saturday the family headed to the airport to pick up a few special guests — the Beckhams! Sounds like the perfect crew to celebrate with, and apparently we're not the only ones who wanted to spend the holiday weekend with the famous family.
Britney Spears celebrated the Fourth of July with a perfectly relaxing looking day out on the water in Marina del Rey, CA with her agent/recent vacation buddy Jason Trawick and some other friends. While Brit looks good taking it easy, there's yet another new rumor about a comeback project. The latest, taken with a big grain of salt, is a report that Britney will be collaborating with Madonna for a video to be played on the big screens during her upcoming Sticky and Sweet tour. Apparently, Britney would even join Madonna on stage at a few shows. I'm not sure if I buy this — and there have already been denials about performing together — but either way it would be a pretty great gig (and show of faith from Madonna) for Brit.
Nicole Richie kicked up her heels and let loose on her Fourth of July weekend, hitting the beach with a few friends on Friday before jetting to Vegas to catch the Good Charlotte "Good Morning Revival" at the Hard Rock Hotel on Saturday. Apparently, she had a little too much fun in sin city, and her rep is already fighting off rumors that the new mom had to be escorted out of the club after she had an altercation in the valet line. Nicole's party girl lifestyle has been pretty tame since Harlow came into her life, and it looks like she kept things innocent on the beach so hopefully, the Vegas incident was just blown out of proportion.

Madonna and Guy Ritchie continued to put up a united front in NYC over the weekend between spending time with their kids and a trip to the Kabbalah Center. Even though they're not all smiles, Madonna and Guy are determined to show us they're going strong. On the other side, according to Alex Rodriguez's wife's lawyer, she will officially file for divorce this morning and very much blames Madonna for the split. Meanwhile, Madonna herself released this statement to People:
"My husband and I are not planning on getting a divorce. I know Alex Rodriguez through Guy Oseary, who manages both of us. I brought my kids to a Yankee game. I am not romantically involved in any way with Alex Rodriguez. I have nothing to do with the state of his marriage or what spiritual path he may choose to study...I have learned over the years not to take accusations and the many false reports about me very seriously. I also appreciate how fiction and fact seem to be perceived as one and the same by people who read both newspapers and the Internet."
While we may never know what actually went down between the two it's not surprising that Madonna knows how to ignore the rumors about her and also wants to separate herself from the whole mess. Though something tells me we haven't heard the last of any of this.
Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy may spend more time showing off their big hearts than big senses of humor these days, but the laughs haven't gone anywhere. The hilarious duo hammed it up on the 4th of July by taking turns sporting Jenny's sexy black bathing suit for walks on the Malibu beach. You know, Jim kinda pulls it off (heh) though seriously he's looking pretty fit these days alongside his hot girlfriend. The rest of the weekend was a little more mellow, but full of laughs with Jim's daughter Jane and Jenny's little Evan joining in on the fun at Jim's oceanside house. Looks like the perfect way to spend the holiday weekend in the sun with loved ones and finding time to raise a few eyebrows too.
