Matthew Perry Gets Bitter, Foul-Mouthed for Showtime Last year, it was David Duchovny making his return to television on Showtime. This year, it's Matthew Perry. The ex-Friends and Studio 60 star will be making his comeback in The End of Steve, a pilot Showtime just ordered.
Some people work hard then play hard, but for Rihanna it's the reverse. After partying on Tuesday night to mark the re-release of Good Girl Gone Bad, she spent yesterday taking care of business with a stop by 106 & Park before performing with Ne-Yo at Madison Square Garden. Despite the looming work, it seems like she had a blast at her celebration with that big cake decorated with her photo. Between the sparklers (love that she didn't let the BlackBerry out of her hand) and the fun with frosting, it looks like a night to remember. Too bad Chris Brown wasn't there to help lick some of that cake off of her face, like a couple of other lovebirds we know.
Newly single Anne Hathaway showed off a short haircut and her glowing smile out promoting Get Smart in NYC today. Earlier this week, we were happy to hear that she broke up with her boyfriend of four years, Raffaello Follieri, after his most recent bout of legal problems. While Anne has apparently moved out of their apartment, she's still defending him, and the two remain friends. He's always seemed sketchy to us, but Anne has stuck by him through so much. So we want to know: Were you surprised when you heard Anne finally dumped Raffaello?
Salma Hayek treated herself to a shopping excursion yesterday at LA's Ron Herman store, which she more than deserved after taking home a prize for her acting and producing work at Tuesday night's Crystal + Lucy Awards. She looked gorgeous as always in her red Gucci top, but lately Salma seems more focused on her inner beauty and, of course, her growing daughter. At the awards ceremony, Salma opened up about her happiness. Here's more:
On happiness:"I have learned to enjoy time to be a woman. I have learned to enjoy how to do the most that I can with what I have . . . it is a good thing to be a 41-year-old Latina woman in America."
On Valentina:"I was with her right before we came. I was in the car telling my partner, I know it’s been 10 minutes, but I miss her already . . . she sticks her tongue out, she claps at everything. From day one, she’s been smiling and laughing. She’s a very happy baby. Everything she does melts my heart.”
With a gorgeous and healthy daughter at home and a likely marriage in the works, it's easy to see how Salma has ended up so content.
Celebrity Style: Hilary Duff Hilary Duff left her chunky earrings and designer logo bags at home for an uncomplicated, yet gorgeous, Summer look. The actress walked the red carpet for the latest Cartier Love Bracelet Launch party in a Phillip Lim cobalt strapless dress and black-patent gladiator heels.
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were on a sisterly shopping mission for art earlier this week in NYC. The twins matched their black skinny jeans with black sandals but showed off their individual personalities with their tops — although some things never change, like their love of Fendi and plaid shirts. The newly 22-year-olds always seem to know how to keep it artsy and effortlessly cool, which is just another reason we are excited to purchase their new jewelry line in September.
When Cartier throws a party, you can bet some of Hollywood's finest ladies happily come running. The stars were out in LA last night at the latest Cartier Love Bracelet launch. Hilary Duff brought her boyfriend Mike Comrie, while her ex — which is definitely a good thing — Joel had Nicole by his side. While I'm sure there was no drama there, still a little bit interesting to see them all together. Meanwhile, Fergie was happy to kick up her heels and just enjoy the gorgeous bling.
Rachel Zoe was photographed walking down Robertson, Starbucks in hand, looking ready for some serious shopping. She looked chic in her round sunglasses and Chanel bag, which she wore with of-the-moment thigh-high boots, a denim Current/Elliott biker jacket, and printed scarf.
