Jessica Simpson continued to heat up NYC last night, looking fresh-faced as she left the Waverly Inn in her cute little dress. She may fit right in in the big city, but we all know that Jess is a true Texan girl at heart — and now that her career has gone country, she has no plans of doing anything else. She told The Tennessean, "I'm planning on making country [music] for the rest of my life, and I don't want to go back to that other world."

Jessica also talked about her onstage flub singing Dolly Parton's "Nine to Five," saying that she was nervous after going through her breakup with Nick, but that country music has given her the confidence to take the stage again. While we must admit that we'll miss pop star Jess a little, thanks to country music and that cute relationship of hers, she looks strong and happy again.

Gavin is still overseas promoting his new album, but Gwen is in the final stretch of her pregnancy, so hopefully he's back in time to be by her side to welcome the newest Stefani-Rossdale celebrity baby into the world! In the meantime, Kingston remains the little man of the house to keep her company.
