She may look like Ashlee Simpson, but it was actually Ashlee Wentz leaving Outback Steakhouse yesterday. Just to keep us confused, she's taking new hubby Pete's last name in her personal life and hyphenating her name to Simpson-Wentz for her professional life. She said, "I think that that's something that a woman should do when they're marrying a man. It's a tradition that I think is a great tradition." Pete was very honored, saying he feels the Wentz family Christmas card just got "upgraded." To show his appreciation for his new bride, Pete is apparently giving Ashlee a giant Lego bumblebee as a wedding gift. Guess this quirky couple isn't keeping everything traditional in their married life.
Halle Berry has been loving her summery dresses lately, but yesterday she kept it casual in her sneakers and capri pants. Not only was she showing her sporty side, but Halle also proudly endorsed Barack Obama with her cool hot pink shirt. It's not an Obama tattoo but it's something and considering the new mom has plenty of things on her plate, we love that she took the time to step outside and make a statement.
Audrina Patridge did some shopping yesterday in a low cut dress that showed off her assets. We admit that lately we can't help but notice that her chest is looking a little bigger than usual, especially when we compared her beach body last Summer to this year's bikini shots. Audrina has already made it clear that she's not interested in discussing the subject, but tell us — do you think she got a boob job?
Mariah Carey was decked out in her version of a baseball uniform, which comes across as somewhat inappropriate as she threw the ceremonial first pitch at a game in Tokyo earlier today. The Japanese baseball league must be crazy for Mimi, because she'll also be providing the theme song for their commercials this season. Since Mariah traveled to Japan with her hubby Nick Cannon, we're sure he was on the sidelines showing the love for his lady's interesting form.
Guess whose newest movie role is looking very different from the one she plays on TV? Blake Lively went from playing an Upper East Side princess on Gossip Girl to a more sulky and way less fashionable character on the set of her new film, The Private Lives of Pippa Lee in Connecticut yesterday. We’re so used to seeing Blake in a droolworthy wardrobe from her show and when casually strolling the city with Penn that she is almost unrecognizable in these pictures. It will be interesting to see her act in a different role, but we'll have to wait a while before this movie hits theaters.
Reese Witherspoon was out in LA running errands yesterday, looking as cute as ever in her preppy collared shirt and cardigan combo. Check out how to get her look here. Sadly, she went Jake-less for her afternoon outing, but we're sure more cuddle-filled lunch dates are in their future. Got to admire her multitasking here with the walking and texting. As a busy working mom, she's got to maximize her time.
The gorgeous women of Sex and the City followed their pink carpet premiere with a star-studded after-party at NYC's MoMa last night. The fab foursome continued to pose together (do you think SJP looked better than LL in that Nina Ricci dress?) as Mario Cantone had fun with some sailors and Jennifer Hudson showed off her second dress of the evening. Even though the night was mostly about the ladies, SJP was accompanied by her proud husband Matthew Broderick, while Candace Bushnell and Anna Wintour brought their men, Charles Askegaard and Shelby Bryan. In true SATC style, the fun times rolled into an after-after-party at The Carlyle hotel. The ladies may have grown up, but they obviously still know how to have a great time.
Jenna Dewan walked down the street in Beverly Hills looking extremely chic and poised. Her structured white blazer framed her body perfectly, and paired well over her draped fringe Haute Hippie halter which she wore with denim leggings and over-the-knee brown boots.
