Mariah Carey cuddled close to her man Nick Cannon after stopping for a few photo ops on the cement carpet at an Operation Smile Event in NYC last night. Nick played DJ for the night, while his new wife went about her duties as ambassador for the organization. The happy couple didn't need any coaxing to flash their own big smiles, and of course they had to remind us all how much they love being married. Mariah called it a "stone smash" while Nick said, "It's a beautiful situation . . . carrying on and on each day." Is anyone getting a little tired of this new couple or are you guys just eating up all of their sugar-coated, rollercoaster-riding goodness?
Yesterday while taping her show that airs today, Ellen DeGeneres made an important announcement to the audience. Just hours after the California Supreme Court overturned legislation banning same sex marriage, the talk show host announced plans to walk down the aisle with her longtime girlfriend Portia de Rossi! Check out the announcement below; so sweet with Portia in the audience. Ellen also released this statement to The Advocate in response to the legislation:
I’m thrilled that the California supreme court overturned the ban on gay marriage. I can’t wait to get married. We all deserve the same rights, and I believe that someday we’ll look back on this and not allowing gays to marry will seem as absurd as not allowing women to vote.

Keira Knightley has been keeping a low profile since the Elle UK Style Awards back in February, but yesterday she was spotted shopping and strolling with her mom in Paris. It wasn't all family time, because just streets away her man Rupert Friend was hard at work on his new film, Cheri. Keira's days of taking it easy are numbered, though, because pretty soon she'll start promoting her new film with Sienna, The Edge of Love (formerly The Best Time of Our Lives). Movie mania was in full swing this week with the start of the Cannes Film Festival, where new mama Cate Blanchett and soon-to-be mom Angelina Jolie looked glamorous on the red carpet. Elsewhere in Europe, Sarah Jessica Parker and the gang caused a stir with premieres of their Sex and the City movie in both London and Berlin. Lindsay Lohan looked like the perfect California hippie in her short shorts and lace up boots back in LA yesterday after her little Parisian getaway with Samantha. Apparently that trip to France wasn't all play, in fact, she's been chosen as the new face of Italian brand Fornarina after hitting up their show on Tuesday night. Meanwhile, LL's mother and sister are in full promotional tilt for Living Lohan even commenting on Lindsay's relationship with Samantha. Ali said, "Samantha’s an amazing girl...They’re best friends. They’re just friends. It’s pathetic what people say.” You all aren't super excited for the series, but something tells us we'll be hearing a lot from the other Lohan women as they gear up for the big Memorial Day premiere.
Summer is almost here, and you know what that means — time for Matthew McConaughey to show off his beach body! First order of business is making sure his killer abs are ready after all his baseball beer so he jogged in Malibu with his trainer. It was a rare appearance for his t-shirt, but wearing those weights on bare skin couldn't be comfortable. Lucky for MM, it'll only be a few more months before he can trade in that vest and get his strength training by toting around his baby love child. Speaking of his new addition, even MM is getting into the baby photo selling game — he's supposedly shopping them around and the bidding war is already over $1 million!
Mischa Barton has gowns galore on hand for her trip to Cannes — she's been quite the red carpet queen for the beginning of the festival. Yesterday she posed with Lily Allen at the GQ Party for How to Lose Friends and Alienate People after the Nosebleed cocktail party. After this, though, it's not back to LA for this starlet — she moved to Paris. She said, "I've just always wanted to move there. I'm enjoying some time off." Considering most of Mischa's post-OC movies have been a bit of a bust, maybe some time off and away is just what she needs.
Rachel Zoe was photographed walking down Robertson, Starbucks in hand, looking ready for some serious shopping. She looked chic in her round sunglasses and Chanel bag, which she wore with of-the-moment thigh-high boots, a denim Current/Elliott biker jacket, and printed scarf.
