Despite the kissy photo evidence that these two are more than friends, Rihanna and Chris Brown kept their distance last night — at least while the photographers were around — as they celebrated his 19th birthday at Rebel in NYC. No matter, though, because they had their hands more than full with all of their pals at the bash. Rihanna partied with singer Lil Mama, while Chris held court with his many admirers. Looks like these two had a blast, but hopefully they found some alone time to celebrate when the cameras stopped watching.

Rachel Bilson showed off a pretty Summer braid strutting her stuff into Greenblatt's Deli in LA yesterday afternoon. I think her hair looks great, but Bella wants to know what you think — love or hate it. She had a moment of b*tchface before it was back to her usual smiles. Being around home Rachel probably enjoyed a nice Mother's Day weekend with both her mom and her baby Thurman Murman but by Monday it was back to solo time for R-Bils and her usually nonstop adorable fashion sense.

Madonna stuck with her favorite all black outfit, devices in hand on her way to the gym, but today is not just like any other day. The charitable pop star announced plans to build a multi-million-dollar girls' school in Malawi this year. Plus, David's adoption is being finalized tomorrow. Amidst all of this, Madonna took time out to chat about being a working mom and again in defense of Britney Spears. Here are some highlights:

- On Britney: "I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that she was never allowed to have a childhood. She didn't get to grow up and make mistakes privately and try things out and just be a kid and be innocent. She's been watched, judged and been under a microscope since she's been a teenager. It's hard to evolve that way."
- On her kids giving her a hard time for working so much: "'When are you coming home?' 'Why are you always working?' 'Why can't you just be like a normal mom?' I just remind them about all the things that they have, and that if I didn't do what I did they wouldn’t have those things."
- On her kids' thoughts on her fame: "They come to the rehearsals. But they're sort of over it. They like to skateboard around."
We think Madonna hit the nail on the head when it comes to Britney and despite being one of the biggest stars ever still keeps things down to earth with her family.

Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey both claim to be eternally 12, so what better way to celebrate their new marriage than with a 12-year-old's dream party! Nick Cannon surprised his new wife by renting out Six Flags Magic Mountain in LA for them and 100 friends. The night was themed "Nick and Mariah: A Love Story." Before their big night, Nick ran some errands around town dressed to the nines to pick up some necessities at Rite Aid and the Ferrari dealership. Enjoying his new wife's, um, bank account already? He clutched his LV bag and talked on the phone (with Mariah?) the whole time. Nick isn't complaining, however, even if his new duties include unwrapping and feeding gum to his bride to go along with baby rumors already.
