The Miley Cyrus Vanity Fair photo scandal is still causing quite the debate. We read her apology, as well as VF's defense, and saw her seeming to be having fun during the shoot. Disney feels Miley was manipulated, but in the interview, Miley herself called the photos artsy and natural. Now, Annie Leibovitz issued a statement apologizing that the portrait was "misinterpreted," saying that she discussed both the photo and its context with Miley before the shoot and calling the image "classic" and "beautiful." Clearly Miley had a change of heart when she realized she was disappointing her fans, though it seems like the Cyrus family was fine with the concept before the backlash. Orlando Bloom was dressed to the nines with his gorgeous Victoria's Secret girlfriend Miranda Kerr and her fabulous hat on his arm on Saturday. The duo was perfectly dressed for Emirates Doncaster Day at Randwick Racecourse in Sydney. Along with being lucky in love, Orlando was apparently having a good day at the tracks. Beyond both being ridiculously beautiful, don't they just look happy and in love? These two have been dating for a while now but seem to be getting more serious these days, including spending some more quality time with her parents while in Australia.
Between Mischa and Eve, it was all about the legs, legs, legs at the MTV Australia Awards on Saturday night in Sydney. Mischa bared her stems but kept warm up top with an odd vest as she presented Matt Damon the award for Movie Star of the year, which he accepted via satellite. Leona Lewis, who was awesome on Idol last week, didn't walk away with any awards but certainly looked pretty. Oh those Kardashian sisters, always being places. It's a mistake to think that celebrities always have the absolute best beauty secrets. (If that were the case, they'd theoretically look flawless all of the time, which is humanly impossible.) But because they get to try so many products and work with the best experts, I always like finding out what they're using.
Salma Hayek sported some serious facial hair playing the bearded lady on the set of Cirque du Freak in New Orleans last week. The beard may not be gorgeous Salma's best look, but at least she took it off when her precious Valentina was around — seeing mommy like that might be a little scary for a 7-month-old. We love that Salma gets her mommy moments while hard at work, and their time together on set will be a great story for Valentina when she's old enough to see the movie someday.
With Owen Wilson's usual bike partner, Kate Hudson, up north filming, the perfect substitute made his way to Miami this weekend: his BFF and often costar Vince Vaughn. Not sure Vince looks entirely comfortable on that bike, but he's a good sport for going along for the ride (get it!?). On Friday, Owen spent the evening out at the Shore Club with Richie Sambora and Dylan McDermott, but by Saturday it was all about Vince time, apparently partying at Casa Tua until about 5:30 a.m.. Owen's Marley and Me costar and Vince's ex, Jennifer Aniston, didn't join the boys but was busy making headlines of her own after being spotted dining with John Mayer. Interesting timing — I might be the only one, but I'd love to see a Jen and Vince reunion. Until that never happens, seeing these two boys together is fun enough.
