Heidi Klum looked chipper leaving Barneys yesterday, but our hearts are already breaking a little for Project Runway. Every day seems to bring more news about how the show will change when it makes the move from Bravo to Lifetime after the next season. Not only are the show's producers sticking with Bravo and half the episodes are moving to LA, but their ties with Elle may be over. Rumor has it that Marie Claire will take over as the magazine involved with the show instead since their publisher Hearst's parent company and Lifetime have the same owner. That would cement the other rumor that Nina Garcia is getting the Auf as well. Boo! Hopefully it will still be the show we all love so much, just a little less recognizable.
This morning's custody hearing seems to have gone as well as could be expected for Britney Spears. After spending all morning in court, both on the stand and in a private meeting with Kevin and their representation, Kevin's lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan addressed the media outside of the courtroom. He said that while there was no custodial change, everyone was very pleased to see Britney's progress and that the judge decided she will be getting a "graduated expansion of time" with her sons. There were no specific details given about what her new visitation entails. The next hearing to check up on Brit's progress is scheduled for July 15. Hopefully it will be all good things from here on out for the pop star and her baby boys.
John Mayer was a good sport last night signing autographs outside of Bungalow 8 in NYC, where he partied after making a cameo at the Costume Institute Gala. When John received a not-so-flattering T-shirt from a fan, he did a little customization to make it more his style. Douchebag isn't the first word that pops to mind when thinking of John, but Giggle features some big ones in her Who's Douchier? game. John also took some questions about Jennifer Aniston in stride yesterday, saying,
"Listen, this is not a scandal, this is not an issue, this is not a problem, this needs no spin control. This is me living my life and a guy with a really powerful lens and I don't fault him, I don't fault anybody, I don't fault you, I don't fault this or that. There are much worse problems in the world. Everything's cool!"
Got to love how John can just go with the flow — with his relationships and his wardrobe. Apparently he also gave two thumbs up to his pictures with Aniston. We couldn't agree more, so we hope the new rumors of his flirting with random blondes are not true.
Most of our favorite stars looked fabulous at last night's Costume Institute Gala, but a few of the superhero-inspired outfits fell flat. Fab and Bella have been all over the individual love it or hate it polls, and we picked out five of the evening's least-flattering ensembles. We know the celebrities don't have full control over what they wear to the party, but who do you think was the worst dressed at the Costume Gala?
Celebrity Style: Cameron Diaz It's been a while since we featured a sporty look and leave it to Hollywood's slapstick gal Cameron to provide us with one. While jesting with What Happens in Vegas co-star Ashton Kutcher on MTV's TRL, Cameron looked sporty and sassy in her McQ shirt jacket and red-hot Louboutin pumps.
In between touring with Kanye and spending QT with her puppy Oliver, Rihanna made time to chat with Elle magazine for its June issue. On top of looking typically fabulous in her photoshoot, Rihanna opened up about her family, her career, and — finally! — Chris Brown. Here's more:
On Chris Brown: “We’ve always been friends, but we’re very close now.”
On the rumors about Jay-Z: "Well, it’s crazy that you ask me that. People know that it’s not true. I think it’s kinda a cliché question, and people know it’s not true, so I don’t even know why it’s still addressed to this day. I get asked about it all the time and I’m like, You’re asking, but you know the answer. I don’t even like to address it anymore.”
On her hair: "I kept telling my managers, I’m cutting my hair. I’m cutting my hair. And they’re like, ‘How short? Not too short. Cut it how short?’ And I’m like, ‘Up to here.’ [Rihanna raises her hand up to her ear] They never believed me. So when it was time to do the album cover [for Good Girl], the night before I cut it, I dyed it black. We went straight to the photo shoot, and no one at the record label knew what I looked like. When we sent the pictures over, they saw the hair and they all loved it. They loved it.”

Singer and actress Selena Gomez posed for pictures at the 2009 American Music Awards with a pretty pink smile on her face. She took advantage of the occasion and went glam; wearing a Talbot Runhof sequin dress with black strappy heels.
