This week we saw a hot budding romance beginning between Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer. After their romantic lunch, they headed out to get some poolside sun — although their vacation was cut short when John headed to NYC. It'll be exciting to see where their relationship goes, but they weren't they only celebrities making news. Here's a look back at the week in photos.
Iron Man...Wait, Don't Leave Before End of Credits Lisa and I just came back from the best comic book movie ever made, period. I agree with Buzz's glowing review. When you do go see it, you must stay till after the credits...as they give us a great teaser for Iron Man 2 and an already excellent casting surprise!
Casey Affleck and his son Indiana August were fully prepared for any danger that might come their way on their walk in LA yesterday. How cute is this twosome with their toy swords? We love that Casey is just a big kid at heart, always matching his oldest son from hoodies to sweatbands. We wonder if Casey will keep up the male bonding by treating his little swordsman to his newest namesake blockbuster when Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull hits theaters.
Paris Hilton can't resist a pet store and yesterday when she stopped to pick up some accessories for her animals, it looks like one little guy stole her heart. She cuddled with the precious little black pup, but in the end left with only her animal bassinet (a little strange) and fancy print bed. Considering her most recent pet conquest (the cheetah, love it) didn't work out, I bet Paris will be back to buy the puppy tomorrow. You all may not be convinced that Paris is settling down for real with Benji, but seeing her with that little guy makes it look like she's got a bad case of baby fever.
Jamie Lynn Spears showed off her big belly as she cuddled up to a puppy at her friend's house in Mississippi. Can't hurt to get a little parenting practice in with a furry buddy, right? Jamie Lynn has a little less than 2 months to go before bringing her baby girl into the world, which means it's baby shower time! Her mother Lynne will be hosting the party in Kentwood on Saturday with a special guest star — Britney! Apparently Britney had to beg Jamie to let her be by her sister's side, but in the end, her dad decided it was best to let the sisters reunite and celebrate the big day.
Lindsay Lohan showed off her bitchface in LA on Wednesday night, but little did she know that this morning would bring something to actually be pissed off about. Before we get to that, some good Lohan news — not only is she in talks to appear on the season finale of Ugly Betty, but she could be back for way more in the fall. Anyway, this morning USA Today ran an ad clearly using LL's face to get attention, paid for by the liquor industry implying that while starlets need the ignition interlock devices that help keep drunk drivers off the roads, the rest of us don't. Lindsay's lawyer understandably outraged issued a statement to TMZ:
"USA TODAY is idiotic for running such an irresponsible advertisement, suggesting that drinking and driving is some kind of American "tradition" we should protect. Not identifying that this ad was paid for by the liquor industry is profoundly reckless.
Drunk, old, white businessmen, drunk cougars out for girls night out, and drunk wedding parties should be kept off the roads of America. Lindsay Lohan fully endorses ignition interlock devices that have been well-proven to save lives."
Sounds like a fun lawsuit waiting to happen. Using Lindsay's mugshot like that is clearly idiotic, but also getting the attention that they wanted. Now, let's just hope those drunk driving days and ways really are over for Miss Lohan who learned her lesson.
