As expected — but you never know with her — Britney Spears arrived at court shortly after 8 AM this morning for a hearing regarding custody of Sean Preston and Jayden James. She showed up with both her parents and her lawyer, Blair Berk. Kevin Federline is also there for the hearing. Considering the days when Britney was hours late for the hearings if she even went inside at all, this should be a good sign for the judges that she's making progress. We'll keep you updated with photos and news as the hearing goes down, but hopefully this is a step in the right direction towards more visitation rights and future custody for Britney.

Halle Berry laid low for six weeks after having her baby, but ever since she unveiled her post baby body last weekend, she's getting back in the swing of her LA life. Yesterday she was looking natural in her little black sundress stepping into her car. We still can't wait to finally see Nahla out of her carrier, but I'm sure we'll see that genetically gifted little one eventually. Until then, we're happy to see this new momma looking so great and, of course, any peek at her gorgeous man is always welcome.

Nicole and Joel did some hand-holding shopping at Barneys in LA over the weekend. These two would have been a much cuter couple if they brought along baby Harlow. Now that Scarlett and Ryan are engaged, we wonder how much longer it will be until Nicole and Joel make it official. The couple sparked ring rumors before Harlow was born and now their rep denies it however, if Benji Madden is already talking about marriage, it might be time for Joel to take a hint from his twin brother.

Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr headed to Whole Foods on Sunday for a no frills shopping trip in LA. The happy couple has been spending every waking moment together, from running errands to attending fancy events. Orlando was doing the heavy pushing but it's nice to see this supermodel can carry her share as well.

Just about everyone who is anyone put on their finest and strutted down the red carpet at last night's Costume Institute Gala at the Met in NYC. It did not disappoint! From Tom and Katie to the Olsens to J Lo to Clooney — once again, it proved to be the most fabulous guest list of the year. The theme of the night was "Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy" which was also the theme of the exhibit unveiled and left the designers a lot of room to play when dressing their celebrities of choice.

I think the most fun theme-appropriate dress has to go to Christina Ricci while Diane Kruger's playful number was an all around favorite. Other highlights of course include Tom Cruise and a playful, colorful Katie Holmes and the always glamorous Beckhams. Scarlett flashed her new engagement ring on the arms of Dolce & Gabbana. Of course, love seeing the Olsens — both in Diane von Furstenberg, but two totally different looks. The hosts of the night were Julia Roberts and George Clooney, though while Danny Moder stayed at home Sarah Larson was happily on her man's arm. With a guest list of that magnitude, how much fun! Oh to be a fly on that wall — we can't wait to hear what went down inside the party!

After a productive weekend working on Ugly Betty, Lindsay Lohan was back out with Samantha Ronson yesterday. While Lindsay enjoys her LA life, back in her native LI, Dina is the Lohan making headlines. For some unknown reason (a desire for press?) just in time for Mother's Day, a Long Island group — Mingling Moms Organization — named Dina mom of the year! I mean between stories of all night partying and putting her younger kids on a reality TV show, why not right? Ugh.
