It's no big secret that a lot of performers sing with backing tracks on stage, but this morning on GMA, Mariah Carey had a bit of an Ashlee Simpson-esque moment. Whoops! During her performance of "Touch My Body," the track started a little early showing that, surprise surprise, she wasn't entirely singing live. Then, later in the song one of the backup singers was apparently singing the diva's part and Mariah felt the need to shut her up. She worked it right into the song — amazing — by turning around and singing to the perpetrator "Stop singing my part now, baby." Um, I have to say, love it. Reese Witherspoon showed her healthy side picking up groceries at Whole Foods in her workout clothes yesterday. She must be missing her man Jake as he jets back and forth between coasts, even with his doggie Atticus keeping her company. While he's away, hopefully it puts a smile on Reese's face to know that Jake is so dedicated that his friends are gushing about how much Jake loves and cares about her. Aww, it sounds like we can look forward to plenty more cute photo ops from these two — might we suggest another romantic vacation when Jake is done filming?

All the usual Hills suspects were out in LA last night to celebrate Stephanie Pratt's birthday party at Boulevard 3. Heidi and Spencer came bearing flowers and balloons, while LC probably wasn't loving life while at the party with her enemies. Of course, the cameras were around the whole time, so we'll be seeing exactly what went down inside when the episode airs in a few weeks time. Thankfully for Lauren in her new extensions, she doesn't have to party with Heidi and Spencer again tomorrow — they politely declined their invite to the White House on Saturday. Don't fret though (wink), I'm sure we'll all know how they spend their weekend anyway.

Paris Hilton was pink from head to toe shopping with Benji yesterday, but at night things got a little more dramatic when the couple ran over a paparazzo's foot leaving Foxtail. Whoops. She seems to have found both a boyfriend and a best friend in her two-month companion (and going strong!), but he's going to have to play second fiddle starting soon when she moves into a house with a few lucky(?) hopefuls vying to be her new best friend. Paris recently sat down to talk about what she's looking for in that coveted BFF. She said:

AP: What are some of the qualities you're looking for in a new best friend?

Hilton: Just someone who's fun, someone who I can trust and just someone who, I don't know, just someone to get along with that is not going to screw me over. Just someone to have a great time with.

AP: You recently found a new best friend in Benji Madden. What are some of the challenges in finding friends you click with?

Hilton: It is hard meeting new people. Most of my friends I've had my entire life, like obviously my sister and Nicole Richie have been with me forever. So when I meet new people, I'm always a little wary of the reason they may want to become my friend. I can usually just tell by when we're out in public and there's paparazzi around, I see, you know, who gets a little bit too excited or whatever. I can tell how those people are.

Well that doesn't seem like too much to ask — but come on, we all know Paris loves herself the paparazzi, even if it doesn't excite her anymore. I'm just not going to put too many bets on the length of that friendship once the cameras stop rolling.

This must be our lucky week, because we got yet another sighting of Harlow Madden, this time with both of her doting parents! The little one squinted her eyes as her mom and dad took her for a walk in LA on Wednesday. We're still gushing over those ridiculously adorable photos of her all snuggled up to her mom at the airport, but seeing her in that little hot pink number is stiff competition. Hopefully this means that we'll be seeing lots more of these new parents with their number one girl.

Brad Pitt cruised around LA again on his bike Wednesday without an oh so pregnant Angelina. He's loving his motorcycle collection these days, this time taking his orange bike out for a spin. Even when his face is covered up by his helmet, Brad is always a little piece of Manjoyment for Friday. Then again, we wouldn't mind if Brad took a break from being a badass to get some family-style exercise on his other bike.
