It was just another day around LA for Lauren Conrad, driving around town with the top down before hitting up the Redkens Real Control Cocktail Party without a hair out of place, of course. She kept it safe and vanilla with her outfit, not like we could expect anything else from the heroine of The Hills. This weekend, however, Miss Conrad is headed to Washington for the White House Correspondents dinner. I'm sure she's happy to hear that it won't be like this week's episode when Heidi showed up at Goa (OMG, you guys!) because she and Spencer won't be attending the event. Seriously though, while there are always Hollywood types there, and I do love me some Hills — what were these reality starlets doing being invited in the first place?

Ashlee Simpson continued playing the "is she or isn't she" pregnancy game when she paid a visit to the Ellen Degeneres Show, airing today. When Ellen asked her point blank if there was a baby on the way, Ashlee said:

• On the topic:"Well, that has been going on for quite a while. That is something that I choose personally not to discuss. Do I look like I had 10 cheeseburgers or something? Because I don't think I do."
• On keeping it a secret as long as J Lo did: "No, I’m not. I swear. I promise you that. I give you my pinky on that."

Thanks to her fitness regimen, we're not surprised that she looks as petite as ever. We're all for respecting her right to privacy, but if she's just trying to get publicity for her new album, we've got to say that the whole thing is really getting old.

British magazine NME held its first-ever award show stateside last night at LA's El Rey theater. Some friendly faces from across the way, like a sunkissed Sienna Miller, "it" model Agyness Deyn, and Kelly Osbourne were amongst the red carpet sweethearts. Miss Miller looks particularly pleased to see Mick Jones from The Clash, who won the Inspiration Award. They were joined by some of our all-American boys like Pete Wentz in a homemade T-shirt, Dave Navarro, and Tom from MySpace! Jennifer Lopez spoke at the Discovery Upfront in NYC yesterday to announce her latest big news. The new mom just signed on to create and star in a reality show for TLC! It's only been a couple of months since she welcomed her adorable twins into the world, and now we'll all get an inside peek at her trials and tribulations juggling her career as a mom/wife/singer/actress. After her picture-perfect photo shoot for People, we somehow can't imagine J Lo allowing cameras in her bedroom first thing in the morning, but that's just one of the reasons we'll have to tune in and see.
