Heidi Montag unveiled her new clothing line with Spencer right by her side in LA over the weekend. Most of you already decided that you'd rather wear LC's designs than Heidi's, but the low prices of Heidiwood could hook some of the teenagers it was designed for. What do you think — will Heidiwood be a success?
Eva Longoria had a well-balanced weekend of shopping and sports, topped off with the return of Desperate Housewives last night. On Saturday she went to Barneys in her pink maxi dress, and last night she showed off her enormous rock while cheering Tony on at the Lakers games. Unfortunately, Tony's Spurs got trounced, but all of Eva's fans were happy to welcome Gabrielle Solis back into our homes.
Just about the only couple in Hollywood who isn't announcing an engagement, a pregnancy, or a breakup, Drew Barrymore and Justin Long spent another weekend making doe eyes at each other around LA. They shopped at Barneys, went to the beach in Malibu, hugged a lot, you know, the usual. I used to give this couple a lot of flack for their constant PDAs and gushing, but I must admit they've totally grown on me. Pret-ty cute together.
There is so something in the LA water. Us Weekly claims to have confirmed that Ashlee Simpson is pregnant with her first child. She and Pete announced their engagement last week on his website, at which time the magazine started the baby talk, but their reps have yet to comment on the pregnancy rumor. So take this all with the appropriately large grain of salt until his or her people have something to say — but . . . if so, congratulations to the happy couple? Methinks I see a shotgun wedding in the near future.
Update: Pete has denied that Ashlee is pregnant saying, "There is a witch hunt for people to be pregnant whenever they get engaged in Hollywood. This is all news to me. I can't wait for the story about how I'm really in a gay relationship and this is all just a cover. ... I mean really, this is crazy. ... I mean we're engaged, that's true, and happy about it."
Heidi Klum spent her Sunday enjoying the sunshine with her two eldest, but it doesn't look like Henry was having all that much fun. Hopefully some comforting from mom was enough to put a smile back on that precious face. He's not the only one who's been having a rough week — Heidi's fellow Project Runway judge, Nina Garcia, has parted ways with Elle magazine. Nina hasn't confirmed this yet, but we hope Heidi has enough hugs to go around, just in case.
Movie Preview: Battle in Seattle The directorial debut of actor (and boyfriend to Charlize Theron) Stuart Townsend, Battle in Seattle is a fictional account of a protest gone awry in Seattle in 1999. As the World Trade Organization prepared for a summit, activists from all over the world made plans to disrupt the meetings.
Despite a hot, hot weekend in LA, Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen were pretty bundled up on their way into LAX yesterday. Those layers could come in handy when R-Bils goes to film her new role. Oh yeah, you read that right . . . a job! She's starring in one of the sections of New York, I Love You. In fact, both she and Hayden landed roles in the movie. Dual casting only? I like it. Plus, you know, anything that gets Bilson back to work sounds good to me.
Rihanna bundled up for her appearance on The Late Show and looked perfectly chic while waving to her New York fans. She kept things simple in all black but mixed patterns and textures to create a unique look.
