George Clooney went black-on-black for his Letterman appearance last night and brought his endearingly dark humor right along with him. In typical Clooney fashion, the interview was two parts self-deprecating, three parts sardonic, and one part fawning over the interviewer. Naturally, he also told his favorite living close to Britney Spears story, along with talk of some recent dental adventures and crying on set — check it out after the jump. Leatherheads hits theaters tomorrow, and this is definitely one of those movies we've been waiting for a long time. What do you think: Will you be running out to catch it in the theaters?
Is Teri Hatcher the next American Idol? We love watching all of our favorite celebrities pitch in for Idol Gives Back every year, and we're already gearing up for the special charity episode next week. In addition to A-listers like Reese Witherspoon and Brad Pitt, Teri Hatcher will also make an appearance — performing on stage. We don't normally think of scary Teri as a singer, so we want to know — do you want to hear Teri sing?
Gerard Butler literally ducked out of Villa in Hollywood last night with a smile on his face — and who can blame him? He's had some good luck at the clubs as of late. According to Life & Style, last Tuesday he was getting up close and personal with Cameron Diaz while hanging out at Teddy's. Score one for Mr. Butler (and for Cam — just another reason to wannabe her). Last night Gerard went home solo, but who knows? — perhaps if he plays his cards right, he'll have another chance with the awesomely leggy blonde.
Naomi Campbell Arrested Naomi Campbell was arrested at Heathrow Airport this afternoon after assaulting a police officer in a row over a lost bag. The supermodel was hauled away "ranting and screaming" from the First Class Lounge of Terminal 5.
Isla Fisher and Hugh Dancy flashed some cash at a hot dog stand on the set of Confessions of a Shopaholic yesterday. As Isla continues to work hard and make friends in NYC — including an adorably embarrassing interaction with Matthew Broderick — her fiancé is busy making his new movie and settling issues with his old one. A judge dropped the lawsuit brought on by two Dartmouth students back in 2006 that were humiliated by their part in Borat. While we're sure Bruno will stir up his own trouble, at least the only controversy Isla's creating is with her on set wardrobe.
Let's Dish: Top Chef 4.4 — Movie Night
What did you think of last night's Top Chef? I was a little bit disappointed that they were working in pairs instead of as individuals, but I guess that's better than in groups. I also really enjoyed the movie theme and thought that was a fun idea. How about you, what were your fave and least fave parts of the episode?
Jessica Simpson went out, but certainly didn't get dressed up, for lunch with Tina, Ashlee, and Pete in LA yesterday. It's the first time she's been out since spending last weekend at Cedars-Sinai with a kidney infection — which at face value seems innocuous, but there are always questions when mysterious hospitalizations are involved — and she is apparently "feeling much better." Sadly, her man Tony isn't able to be there and nurse her back to recovery, but at least she's got a furry friend from him to cuddle with.
Rachel Zoe was photographed walking down Robertson, Starbucks in hand, looking ready for some serious shopping. She looked chic in her round sunglasses and Chanel bag, which she wore with of-the-moment thigh-high boots, a denim Current/Elliott biker jacket, and printed scarf.
