Jennifer Aniston was still showing off that adorable 90s-ish style — with the cutoffs and Keds — on the set of Marley and Me in Miami yesterday. They were surrounded by canine companions including the lucky doggie that gets to play adult Mr. Marley himself. I'll be surprised if the actors don't leave this movie with some new four legged friends for themselves. Jennifer may just be an actress in this film, but with her new production company, Echo she'll get to be more than just a pretty face in front of the camera. As long as it doesn't mean giving her up as a leading lady, we'll be here to cheer on all of her endeavors.

Ryan Gosling may not have shown up with a date on his arm, but Ellen Barkin was the lucky lady posing by his side at the after party of The Visitor premiere in NYC last night. Seriously, she gets to hang out with all the good ones. Hot hot Mr. Gosling and Ellen aren't actually in the movie, but neither are Patricia Clarkson, Stanley Tucci or Steve Buscemi who were all out for the event. Hey no complaints, anywhere we get to see Ryan is a very welcome bit of midweek manjoyment.

Matt Damon is still in London with his favorite Pats hat (holla!), which kept his head warm out at Nobu last night. On his way in, he gave his dining buddy a big embrace and he also stopped to pose with one of the paparazzi pestering him as he went into the restaurant. While Matt is handing out hugs in London, his mom is talking about her new book on the effect of violence in the media on kids. Matt's no stranger to violent movies, but his mom's work has taught and changed him, too. He said:

- On learning from his mom: "I've always made my decision about what movies to make with an eye toward these issues ... I've grown up knowing about all this, after all. As a high school kid, I'd come home to find my mom in the living room watching TV cartoons, counting acts of violence, and I would watch with her, to see what she was looking for. . . . I accept and agree with what she says - that it desensitizes kids, that there could be blowback from it."
- On why it made him not allow his likeness in Bourne video games: "I lobbied hard [with the video producers] to not make a first-person shooter game but to make it more like Myst, which was a great interesting puzzle you tried to solve - you know, to play with his amnesia or his memory ... They weren't interested. They made the video anyway, without my likeness...I'd like to think that I at least made them more aware of the issues. That's step one. Step two is changing behavior. I learned that from my mom, too."
Not only is it great to hear that he's willing to stand by his convictions, but that he learned it from his mom is even more endearing. It doesn't even need to be said that Damon can do no wrong — because instead everything he does just makes him better.

What's that about not being a paparazzi draw anymore? Britney Spears brought out quite the mob on her way out of the Tracey Ross boutique in LA yesterday afternoon. While Jamie Lynn's choice of baby toys seems to hint that she's expecting a girl, Britney looked pretty cute in her baby blue. Hopefully she treated herself with some nice new things — we were certainly celebrating for her yesterday when we heard the great news that she's reunited with her former manager, Larry Rudolph. Good news all around, and hey, at this point I'm even used to the hair.

Madonna is officially everywhere these days, so we're not surprised that she showed up on the cover of Elle UK. We do wish she'd change up her cover girl style to something a little different though. Of course, she still looks hot showing off her ridiculous body inside the magazine, and in the article she talks a little bit about maintaining herself and what her weaknesses are. Here are highlights:

- "There are no short cuts to being Madonna. It’s all about hard work. There is no easy way. If you want to know how I look like I do, it’s diet and exercise and constantly being careful."
- "One of the worst things about Britain is that it has such fabulous candy. I love Cadbury Fruit and Nut, Crunchies and Maltesers. But my absolute favourite is a Cadbury Creme Egg. I bite straight in to it and suck all that good stuff right out!"
It's hard to believe that Madonna indulges often (if at all), but it's a bit of a relief to see that she still treats herself every now and then, just like the rest of us.
Ryan Phillippe isn't usually a sunshine and rainbows kinda guy, but he was looking particularly down both at the airport and at the gym this week. It wasn't exactly the greatest weekend for him since his Stop-Loss bombed at the box office. There's also the whole Reese and Jake trip to Cabo — even though Ryan said he was happy for his ex-wife, seeing Jake vacationing with his little ones has to hurt just a little. To top it all off, Ryan's name is being dragged into headlines thanks to Jay Leno's gay jokes which made even Ryan uncomfortable. Jay has since apologized but it's kind of sad that no one will remember Ryan's appearance on the show for anything other than this controversy now.

Gwen Stefani may have kept her baby bump covered up while grabbing lunch at Casa Vega in LA yesterday, but she probably turned a few heads with her silly hairstyle. Must be nice to have your hair out of the way, but it's not her best look. Maybe she's channeling her No Doubt days when she sported this look before and since the band is getting back together, it's time to get in the mood.
