Thandie Newton was looking fabulous and super smiley at the premiere of Run Fat Boy Run in NYC last night. Unfortunately we can't say the same about director David Schwimmer, whose outfit left us wondering what happened to cute Ross Gellar? Seeing one of our old Friends always makes us nostalgic, but apparently David had a blast testing the waters as a director for his first film. As for the movie's quirky title, he said, "We came up with five pages of titles. But when we read them to people the only one they smiled on was 'Run, Fat Boy, Run.' "
Conan Irishes Up "His" St. Patrick's Day Stew Earlier this week I let you in on how Good Housekeeping published Conan O'Brien's recipe. Unfortunately it wasn't actually Conan's recipe and so a feud was born. All week long Conan has been talking about it and creating Irish recipes of his own.
Gwyneth Paltrow was spotted around London on Wednesday with a big children's book called Thank You Bear for her two little aspiring readers, Apple and Moses, waiting at home. Even though Gwyneth has been doing fewer movies in recent years, she still feels like she needs to spend more time with her little ones. She said, "I'm not doing another film until next autumn. Everything is about family. I'm putting movies on the back burner." Gwyn still has quite the promotional tour ahead of her with Iron Man, but it looks like she'll still be making time for bedtime stories.
This year's Paley Festival in LA has brought out some of our favorite TV stars new, old, and somewhere in between. This week after the Apatow/Pushing Daisies fun, the crews from Friday Night Lights and Chuck both took the stage. Mr. Zachary Levi could use a haircut, but I guess he doesn't have to just yet, since Chuck isn't coming back until next Fall. And speaking of coming back — yay! — the FNL cast says they are very hopeful about being able to return for season three — check out more on those panels here. The biggest news of the festival, however, has to be the Buffy the Vampire Slayer reunion with adorable Sarah Michelle Gellar. Everyone other than Alyson was out to answer questions from some of the show's most diehard fans. Buzz was lucky enough to be in the audience, so don't miss her take on all the excitement.
Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr may not be ready for puppies or houses yet, but she did help him do some shopping for a shiny new motorcycle in Beverly Hills yesterday. There's definitely something to be said about a hot guy on a bike, but hopefully Orlando will avoid pulling a Clooney and get in his fair share of practice before Miranda hops on board. Plus, Orlando needs to stay in one piece so he can help out with Courteney and Jennifer's big charity challenge.
Lauren Conrad scored the cover of the latest issue of Us Weekly, along with a headline portraying her as the victim yet again. She wasn't thrilled with the way her interview was spun, and already blogged about it on her MySpace page, saying, "The article itself is a nice one but it follows headlines that, in no way, represent my words or feelings. I do not feel betrayed by Audrina or Brody. I love them both and said nothing to contradict this. I understand that headlines sell magazines, but I value my friendships above magazine sales any day." What do you think — did LC's interview get an unfair headline?
Kate Beckinsale was spotted leaving the hair salon in LA looking perfectly coiffed from head to toe. She wore a shirtdress over leggings, pairing it with Fiorentini + Baker buckle boots and a cozy scarf for a Fall-appropriate look.
