Mary-Kate Olsen was back in NYC yesterday, but she may have left her heart back in Paris. While she was in the city of love for Fashion Week, she supposedly found herself a new man — Lapo Elkann, Italian Lothario and billionaire heir to the Fiat fortune. Remember him sitting right next to MK for some of the shows (looking a little loony town, sorry). When you put it that way it sounds fine, but Lapo has made a name for himself by his hard partying ways including an infamous 2005 overdose on cocaine and heroin. He's apparently clean now and an excellent businessman, so maybe he's good? Well, hopefully.
Last night Justin helped induct Madonna into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and made headlines with his not-so-subtle jab at his famous exes saying, "The world is full of Madonna wannabes. I might have even dated a couple, but there is truly only one Madonna." He was clearly having a good time up there making a lot of jokes while gushing about and roasting the material girl, but this feels a little below the belt. Shia LaBeouf got to play stuntman on the set of Eagle Eye in DC last night. After Indiana Jones and Transformers, he probably was able to jump into oncoming traffic like a pro, but we still prefer to see him safely on the ground. Or even better, on the red carpet. We're sure that Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull will have tons of promo events and premieres, but Cannes Film Festival will probably be a big milestone for Shia — and we can't wait to see him living it up overseas.
It's usually the other Affleck brother we see playing the doting dad, but Casey looks mighty adorable playing with his eldest son, Indiana August, in LA yesterday. He seems like he would be such a fun dad, not to mention uncle to our favorite Violet. We still haven't gotten to see his new addition, born on January 12 and ... whose name we still don't know. So, I guess it's too much to ask for some pictures of the little guy?
Mischa Barton headed to the pet store yesterday to pucker up to the adorable doggies in the window. Wonder if her new boyfriend Taylor Locke from Rooney would be jealous to share his girl with those adorable furballs. Perhaps she was picking out a new sibling for Charlie and Ziggy? Even if Mischa was just there to give the puppies some extra love, we all know that pets can always brighten up someone's day.
Jessica Simpson belted it out with a big smile on her face for the troops stationed in Kuwait last night as part of the Operation MySpace concert. While Jess was overseas for a good cause, her rep unfortunately still had to be busy shooting down rumors of her lavish demands, including luxuries like private planes and accommodations. Her rep told People, "She flew commercially, she is staying in the barracks. She's been with the troops all day. She's had her meals with them. She's not with Ken Paves. She has significantly scaled back her entourage. This was done purely to support the troops and entertain them." Kinda sucks that everything she does people try to cut her down, but hopefully last night's concert brought a smile to the faces of some of our brave men and women overseas.
Jenna Dewan walked down the street in Beverly Hills looking extremely chic and poised. Her structured white blazer framed her body perfectly, and paired well over her draped fringe Haute Hippie halter, denim leggings, and over-the-knee brown boots.
