Soccer brought David Beckham to Shanghai, but sports aren't the only thing he's got on his mind. Yesterday he found the time to make a very special trip to the Xinhua hospital to visit with the sick children there. Those big smiles on Becks and the kids are totally making our hearts melt. Sadly for David, there was one kid who'll be missing him today — it's Brooklyn's ninth birthday, but he'll have to wait until his dad gets back to the States for celebratory hugs and gifts. Definitely a bummer, but we have a feeling David and Posh will find a way to make it up to him.

Usually when it comes to celebrity babies I end up being all whoa, all of a sudden she's so pregnant! but Nicole Kidman's taking her time with this baby bump. I guess it feels like we've known Nicole was pregnant forever, but it's only really been a couple of months. Shrug. She was spotted on her way out of the gym in Beverly Hills yesterday after a workout showing off a fairly small baby bump.

Reese and Jake continued to soak up their time together on the East Coast, hitting up more of the many stores Manhattan has to offer yesterday. On Sunday night they headed to Prune to share a steak dinner with a bunch of friends. Apparently they were all smiles, laughs, and long gazes into each others' eyes. It's hard to believe that it was just a few months ago that there was so much drama surrounding this couple, because these days they're so low key — and we love them for that. Their trip to NYC isn't all fun and shopping, Reese is in town on business as the ambassador for Avon (more on that to come).

Ashlee Simpson continued on her one-woman promotional tour, stopping by the Walmart in Bensalem, PA yesterday afternoon to have a meet and greet with her fans. Her sidekick/boyfriend/twinsie/future husband (?) Pete was not by her side, but I'm sure they'll be reunited soon enough (don't seem to spend more than a minute or two apart these days). No worries, however, because it looks like Ashlee got custody of the flat iron for the day — and I'm sure she's excited to hear about her man's plans to open a hair salon in Chicago. While Ashlee will certainly be first in line to get her locks cut at Clandestine Industries salon, she's got her own projects to focus on for now. Her album Bittersweet World hits stores April 22.
