In the Spotlight: Ruby and Poppy
I'm filled with warm fuzzies whenever I catch the (rare) glimpse of Poppy and Ruby! Sandra Bullock adopted the three-legged Poppy back in 2005 and later added Ruby to her family with Jesse James.
Eva Longoria isn't expecting any children of her own just yet, but she got to play with some cute kids over the weekend, accepting a donation from AT&T for PADRES Contra El Cancer. Eva accepted the donation as the spokesperson last year also which only goes to show that she still makes time to give back. However, now that the writers' strike has ended, fun in the sun time with Tony is over for Eva as she's back to work on Desperate Housewives. Luckily, apparently the cast got right back into the swing of things. Eva said, "We're back and it's like we never left. We were such a well-oiled machine before we broke so stop was jolting." Hopefully this means the show will include plenty of scandals for the fans that have been missing Wisteria Lane.
Don't get me wrong, Rachel Bilson's new bangs look pretty good, but it's still a little surprising to see her with them out and about in LA over the weekend. She looks so different (duh, I know). Hayden was nowhere to be seen, but R-Bils got some serious hugs from her little sister Hattie when she arrived back at home. Looks like big sis was missed while trotting around the world to promote Jumper. Considering there's, uh, nothing more on the horizon for Bilson I guess it's right back to the everyday LA routine for her. Maybe we can hook up another little guest spot gig, Schwartz?
Ryan Seacrest debuted a new song on his radio show this morning, an unlikely duet featuring Heidi Montag and Britney Spears. Apparently Heidi mixed her voice over one of Britney's previously recorded and never released tracks without getting permission to do so. Obviously Heidi will do anything she can to get attention these days, but listen to the track and tell us — what should Britney do about it?
As if we didn't already love Victoria Beckham enough. Now the Poshiest of them all went out this weekend with no makeup — to a Target no less —in a plain gray t-shirt and jeans. Is this the same mom who has more Birkin bags and designer clothes than we could ever imagine? Who knew she would play the low-key suburban housewife role? While most of the story seems normal, Posh did remind us that she's not just like us, since a visit to the Target with Romeo included bodyguards.
Adam Brody covered up his new short 'do with a hat while having lunch with a friend in LA over the weekend. We loved the new cut but perhaps he's just not that into it. Either way, cute Adam is always welcome for a Monday Manjoyment treat. We wonder if he'll be heading back to the set of The Justice League again soon now that the strike is over? He probably wouldn't mind getting back to work, especially since it includes his rumored new lady friend.
Nicky Hilton makes dressing for transition weather look so easy! Waiting for her car at Barneys New York in Beverly Hills, she wore a trendy and chic ensemble consisting of a gray blazer, a simple black tank, denim cut offs and platform booties.
