Awwww, yay! Nicole Richie posed with her newborn baby daughter Harlow Winter Kate Madden for the cover of this week's People Magazine. How cute are they? Nicole looks gorgeous and Harlow's adorable little expression is too much. Love it.
In the magazine, Nicole says, "It's almost like I don't even remember what life was like before her. She gives life a whole new meaning and a whole new purpose." You all were especially excited to see little Harlow, so what do you think about the cover? I can't wait to see the rest of the photos, but until then — look how tiny and precious!
Mariah has rolled out a video for the first single off of her new album E=MC², and she clearly took this opportunity to show off her hot body. As usual, there are plenty of shots of her skimpy dresses as she teases a young computer geek (played by Jack McBrayer from 30 Rock). You guys were pretty split on her first single, but check out the video below and see if it changes your mind. Then tell us what you think of Mariah's video for "Touch My Body" — love it or leave it?
Christina Ricci and Ramon Are Preppy Twinsies! OMG. North is giving me sidelong stares as I squeal over this cutie pie! Can you believe this is the same fella we saw from behind with Christina Ricci at LAX yesterday? I'd never have guessed her new pup was a lil smooshy . . . and I love him even more now!
Courteney Cox is doing the rounds to promote the second season of Dirt (premiering this Sunday!), stopping by Letterman yesterday afternoon before getting up bright and early to hit up The Today Show this a.m. Courteney may not come off as the warmest person ever (just saying), but she was happy to tell Dave some cute stories about little Coco — who is apparently becoming quite the little performer these days. Check out the video below to hear Courteney talk about her daughter's love of applause and, of course, all about what we should expect from Dirt this season. Can't wait to catch up with Lucy Spiller in the aftermath of that dramatic (and stabby) finale.
American Idol was a rollercoaster last night. At first I was just disappointed that two of last week's strongest contestants kicked off the show with weak performances. Lucky for us it wasn't a complete waste of a night, since the final acts were very entertaining. Here's my two cents:
Michael Johns was off the entire song.
Jason Castro was just OK.
Luke was the most improved from last week, but sadly after he performed, the show stalled big time. The acts in between Luke and Chikezie were basically forgettable.
Side note: OMG fake rocker Robbie wears a wig. No wonder Simon has been hinting to the audience that he is a fake.
Chikezie was the first fun performance, and he nailed the vocals. Besides, I just love saying his name. I'm not sure why Simon has such a hard time spitting it out since it's so much fun to say. I also loved the playful banter with Simon — always a crowd pleaser when done right . . . unlike David Cook.
Cook's song was good, but the awkward exchange with Simon at the end killed it for me.
Finally, David Archuleta is the cutest thing ever. I just want to go squeeze him. He clearly has the best voice of all the men last night, and he's only 17. Very impressive indeed!
Paul Dano, Zooey Deschanel: Adorable Indie Duo
Here's an indie duo I never expected, but am so glad to see: Paul Dano (Little Miss Sunshine, There Will Be Blood) will star in and executive produce the indie "offbeat romantic comedy" Gigantic, with the awesome Zooey Deschanel joining him.
Mary-Kate Olsen may have her hands full both literally and figuratively, but the Olsen girls are expanding their empire yet again. They're set to publish their very first coffee table book called Influence. According to Mary-Kate, the book will feature creative minds that the twins feel reflect their generation saying, “Ashley and I interviewed the people who have inspired us, with the hope that they will inspire and teach others." Some of the featured artists include Christian Louboutin, Lauren Hutton, and, of course, unseen photos of the twins themselves. MK and A have grown out of their tween taste, so we'll see if their appeal has grown up too.
Nicky Hilton makes dressing for transition weather look so easy! Waiting for her car at Barneys New York in Beverly Hills, she wore a trendy and chic ensemble consisting of a gray blazer, a simple black tank, denim cut offs and platform booties.
