While we're in the spirit of applauding Britney's apparent progress towards normalcy (as much as that word can ever apply when you're an international pop star) let's hear it for her return to bra wearing. Golf claps for Brit for that. Still in the brown boots, but they're fine here so no complaints. Yesterday was another good day for the Spears women — Brit got to see her boys again and Jamie Lynn passed her GED. While Jamie Spears is still constantly fighting to keep his conservatorship and there is a new lawyer claiming that she is trying to hire him on the side and Jamie is violating her civil rights, things are still better. So much better. Jamie Spears seems to think that at least one member of Britney's former circle is okay to keep around — she got a visit at home from Adnan last night.

Last week, we got a glimpse of Drew Barrymore's oddly photoshopped Vogue cover, but thankfully she's looking more like herself inside the magazine. Lately the birthday girl is all about Justin Long who she says makes her cheeks hurt from smiling, but she's got more than that going on. She dishes on her latest role in Grey Gardens, her upcoming projects, and her unorthodox family. Here are highlights:

- On her role in Grey Gardens: "Something about learning you can live without everything changes you. All my life, I've been waiting and waiting to become a woman, but I always felt like a little girl. Edie did, too. But I think she might have been the thing that made me finally become a woman. I thought for sure it would be a relationship with another human being, a love. Little did I know it would be a posthumous relationship with a woman named Edith Beale."
- On her directorial debut Whip It!: "I have traveled the world for 32 years and voraciously studied literature, art, other cultures. I've been to the places, spent time with the people. I am the most avid music fan. . . Photography has been my secret hobby and passion for years now. I've been putting all that in a piggy bank, and I've been waiting to break it open and make something that is very personal and important to me ... I relate to what it's like to feel like your surroundings are dangerous to the development of who you need to be as an adult. One of the most important rules of filmmaking is tell your story, tell things that are personal to you, and I feel like I'm out of the gate with that one thing in my back pocket."

We were super excited last week to see the Olsen twins together looking all cleaned up, but sadly the new trend didn't last very long. In fact, Mary-Kate was almost unrecognizable in LA with her messy hair and sweats. If it wasn't for that cigarette we may not have figured it out. A lot of the magazines are writing about their fast paced lifestyle and we can't help but wonder if something sketchy is going on with the girls. It even shows in her recent low-key style — who knew MK even owned a pair of sweats!? This doesn't seem like the best way to promote their new spring line for Elizabeth & James so hopefully they'll be back to twin trendsetting soon enough.

Katherine Heigl followed her big glamorous Sunday night at the Oscars (jazz hands!) with a Monday morning of furniture shopping. She was one of the red carpet favorites with her old Hollywood style, but definitely looked a little nervous (and admitted it) when it was her turn to take the stage as a presenter. It's okay Katherine, it's not like very many people were watching. Instead of being there to calm her nerves, her husband was off on tour and unable to join her for the Academy Awards. Well, it looks like she's busy nesting and getting their home ready for him to return to LA.
