While we anxiously await Sunday night's Academy Awards, this week brought us a big award show abroad. Brad and Pax helped pass the time reminding us how much fun Winter can really be. Here's a look back at this week's photos.
Jessica Simpson had one of her main men on her arm last night, but it wasn't her future husband (heh) Tony Romo. Instead she was out to dinner at Katsuya with the man in control of all that blond hair, Ken Paves. Lucky for her she opted for Thursday night sushi instead of Wednesday, because then she may have had a dinnertime run in with her ex-John Mayer (though we know there's no bad blood on his behalf). That was all avoided, however and instead she and Ken had a nice dinner just the two of them — hey, if she does have another walk down the aisle planned these two have some seriously famous wedding hair to live up to.
Vanessa Minnillo joined the ladies of Gossip Girl in NYC last night to celebrate the launch of Reebok's Freestyle World Tour campaign. Leighton and Blake looked adorable in their respective strapless dress and cardigan. As usual, Vanessa came ready to gush about her man and her new movie gig. She said, "He's very supportive and very calming. He's one of my biggest cheerleaders. [But] he's not helping me [run lines]. I can't. It's too embarrassing to try it with him. It's too nerve wracking. I start to giggle with him and I can't take him seriously. It's just one big mess!"
Patrick Dempsey was one lucky man sandwiched between his hot wife and Megan Fox checking out the Versace show at Milan Fashion Week last night. Earlier in the day the woman on his arm was, um, not either of those ladies and instead was Donatella herself. Patrick is the face of the brand these day and a mighty fine one if I do say so myself. Though his dapper black suit is a far better look than the plaid. It may still be months before we get our McDreamy back on TV, but he's certainly not letting himself go in the meantime. Yum.
Take a Look at the South Beach Wine and Food Festival Yesterday marked the kick-off of the 2008 Food Network South Beach Wine and Food Festival. Think of it as spring break for the culinary elite. While Hollywood may be galavanting off to Los Angeles for the Oscars, your favorite chefs and Food Network personalities are hanging out on the beach, drinking beer, eating burgers, playing poker, and having what looks like tons of fun.
Cute Casey Affleck got to act as a prop for a spread in the March issue of Vogue featuring model Karen Elson. Remember when Diddy helped her up after her Fashion Week tumble? We always love laid-back Casey in his sneakers, but we're still looking forward to seeing him all pretty and polished on Oscar night.
