Britney Spears made yet another trip to the hair salon last night for maintenance on those brown extensions of hers. She spends an awful lot of time on her faux locks considering how bad they've been in the past, but I must admit that recently they've been looking a lot better. Well, anything to keep busy probably keeps her mind off another day (and another court decision) without seeing her boys. She apparently hasn't even spoken to them since Jan. 3, because her parents and Kevin don't want her to talk to them until she's much better. Everyone seems to agree, however, that Jamie Spears has had a positive impact on Britney — helping to stabilize her life and get things back on track towards seeing her boys. Things do seem to be on the up and up for Brit, lets just hope this new, healthier lifestyle sticks around.

Fame, Source, and Source
The Oscars are almost here, but Hollywood is still busy with other awards shows, like the 10th Annual Costume Designers Guild Awards. The trophies merited looks from Blades of Glory, Ugly Betty, and Sweeney Todd. Katie Holmes was on hand to honor Tom's longtime producing partner, Paula Wagner with the Swarovski President's Award last night in Beverly Hills. Considering the show was recognizing the industry's fabulous designers, we were a bit disappointed with what the stars picked out for the event, like Ginnifer's loud little number and Katie's not-so-flattering ice princess look. At least Christian Bale looked dapper as the male representative for the night.

Kate Beckinsale showed off some smoky eyes and sexy wind-blown hair for the March issue of Allure. She's got a new movie called Snow Angels coming out next month, but quirky Kate was more interested in talking about her early struggles in the industry and how she's risen to her current level of success. Here are highlights:

- On her job: "Acting requires so much delving into yourself and exposing yourself, so it's sensible to be wondering, Do I still want to be doing this? But I enjoy the work, and everything is so solid at home. I don't care if they say I've had buttock implants. Or not. I don't care. Go ahead! That's the nice thing about getting to the age I am. I could have said I didn't care before—but secretly I did. And now I really don't."
- On considering quitting acting to become a doctor: "I was at the point where I was wondering whether the work I was doing was sustaining me intellectually. I'd had enough of the ludicrous questions. Like, 'Have you had your boobs done?' or 'Have you slept with Colin Farrell?'"
- On struggling with her career: "I sort of ended up in Los Angeles by accident. And it was sort of terrible to be jostled into this position of a fame-hungry starlet. Which is so honestly not me! In fact, I could use a bit more of that because I am such a hermit! So I allowed myself to get really bothered."
- On her husband, Len Wiseman: "I have a husband who lit-erally worships me. And cleans the house. And blow-dries my daughter's hair."
Sounds like Kate made the right decision when she decided to stick with acting instead of switching over to the medical field, an idea that she had toyed with. Being a movie star with a hot husband who is also into hairstyling sounds like a pretty sweet deal to us.

Stop the presses: both Olsens brushed their hair. Mary-Kate and Ashley were walking around NYC yesterday simultaneously sporting some abnormally nice looking 'dos for the first time in a while. They were also both in big fur jackets despite the warmer Manhattan weather. We haven't seen much of the girls recently, though it's no secret that they always like to keep a low profile. Plus, only MK is in her brick shoes, so much progress on the flats front. In general though, the girls look good, right?

We've always commended Jim and Jenny for their matchy-matchy hairstyles, but they've changed up their looks and covered up those locks with helmets for a ride around LA this weekend. Jenny looks pretty adorable holding on tight on the back of Jim's bike, but it was Jim who got cute about his lady when he stopped by Oprah last week (the episode aired yesterday). The episode was shot on Valentine's Day, and Jim wasn't shy talking about Jenny, and the other loves in his life. Here are highlights:

- Jim's personal creed: "I am heaven...Just remember you're heaven. That heaven is not a place to get to or wait for or spend your life in a mind hoping it will be someday. Have it now, you know?"
- On his plans while in Jenny's hometown of Chicago: "We're just going to go everywhere she ever existed. That's what we've been doing so far. We'll continue to do that. You know, where she had her first kiss and travel around and see all those places that were near and dear to her—and I'm going to put my scent all over them so it will never be the same for her."
To hear what Jim has to say about Jenny, his 20-year-old daughter Jane and his connection with Jenny's son Evan just read more
