We couldn't be happier to have Matthew Fox and Lost back in our lives and now that the writers' strike is over we're eager to see the cast back filming in Hawaii. Today, however, he was in Salamanca, Spain with Forest Whitaker and his other Vantage Point co-stars for a photocall and trip to city hall. The film takes place in the aftermath of an American president being assassinated and blurs the lines between good and evil, much like Lost does. When asked about playing characters that keep you guessing, Matthew said,

"I don’t know, I guess I’m really interested in the gray areas, and this concept that I’m not necessarily really sure about any concept of good and evil, black and white, good and bad. And I’m also very interested in the concept of perspective, it’s something I think about all the time in my life, the ability for one event to happen and for two people to perceive that event so differently, depending on where they’re standing and who they are and what kind of agenda they had in how they perceive it. It’s astounding to me, it really is, and I find myself running into it in my own life, just in my own micro-world, and in my relationships with family and friends and those types of conflicts, and then you extrapolate that out into conflicts between nation states. It’s just unbelievable to me how many people walk around in this world thinking their version of reality is the only one that exists."
Despite that big smile, Matthew seems like a pretty serious guy, not unlike his TV counterpart. We wouldn't mind seeing him in a lighter role, but apparently mushy stuff isn't his thing — he said he's only a 3 on the 1-10 scale of being a romantic. Guess we won't be hearing about any of Jack Shephard's super sweet Valentine's Day plans .

Amy Winehouse was out in London last night celebrating her multiple Grammy wins with a man named Blake...but not one we're used to seeing her with. Amy's new friend is Blake Wood, who the singer met through possible landlady Kelly Osbourne in the hopes that the drug-free vegetarian artist will help Amy stay clean. Blake Fielder-Civil is not too happy that Amy has been sharing a hotel room with another man — and the last time he was jealous, he threatened divorce. Amy has tried to calm her husband down by saying Wood is gay, but the drama remains. Whichever way Wood swings, most things seem like a step up from Amy's "Blake incarcerated."

Madonna slipped into a sexy see-through number to show off her latest project at the Berlin Film Festival in Germany today. Her film Filth and Wisdom marks the directorial debut she's been working on for the last year, and she was joined by her cast at a photocall and press conference for the film. The movie sounds pretty controversial and racy, but M was just happy to finally get her feet wet as a director. She said,

"I have always admired the art of filmmaking and the ability to tell a good story. After almost three decades of being in front of a camera, I decided to put my money where my mouth is. Filth and Wisdom was essentially my way of putting myself through film school. When the film was finished, I realised that they were all aspects of me, so the whole experience was both artistic and therapeutic."
Madonna has tried to see if her talents extend to another realm before, but we'd prefer to see the superstar in front of the camera rather than behind it.

Mandy Moore has been rocking the super sexy recently but was back to her usual laid-back look out in LA last night. She was also showing off a ring on that symbolic finger, but it's certainly nothing. Mandy recently talked about taking it easy on a strike-induced vacation, so now that it's officially over, hopefully we'll see her line up some new gigs soon. While Mandy is always a breath of fresh (and scandal-free) air, her acting efforts are particularly fun.

Though she was a few days too late for Fashion Week, Lauren Conrad showed off her award-winning style skills yesterday in NYC as she made the rounds to promote both the Spring collection of her fashion line and the upcoming episodes of The Hills. Perhaps a new story twist will include how LC's Spring line will be doing in comparison to Heidi's newly announced collection. All her hard work has certainly paid off with the $2.36 million Hollywood mansion she recently purchased, and Casa has more details and pictures of her new bachelorette pad. Even though Lauren looks cozy in her big plaid coat, we're sure she's ready to trade all those layers for the California sunshine.
