New York Fashion Week rolls on, with nary a color in sight on the red carpets or in the front rows. Fergie couldn't even be bothered to take off her (new?) sunglasses when she showed up for the Max Azria show yesterday afternoon, while Rihanna wore her favorite blanket to walk the same black carpet. Mandy Moore and Sophia Bush are all over the place this week and looked particularly interested in last night's Ports 1961. No Fashion Week fatigue for those two. The girls are fun and all, but the boys are getting into the spirit of things too. Eric Dane was in the front row for the John Varvatos show, while Dylan McDermott cozied up with all the celebrity ladies at Proenza Schouler. Don't forget that in addition to all the awesome coverage here on Sugar, we're covering all the celebrity, fashion, and beauty trends over on Elle.com!
Lindsay Lohan has been all over magazine covers lately, and we're not even talking about the tabloids. Yesterday we got a peek at LL on UK Glamour, and here she is again on the cover of Harper's Bazaar. Considering she has nothing to promote right now, tell us — does Lindsay still deserve to be a cover girl?
Movie Preview: Taken If this pattern keeps up it will become "spooky trailer" week here on Buzz, starting with yesterday's preview for The Happening. Today I present the trailer for Taken, starring Liam Neeson, Famke Jensen and Lost's Maggie Grace. I have high hopes for this thriller as it was co-written by Luc Besson, the mind behind one of my favorite movies, The Professional.
In case you've been living under a rock, today is Super Tuesday, and even the stars are coming out of the woodwork to encourage you to vote. Yesterday Diddy headed to a photocall for his new movie A Raisin in the Sun in NYC, but he also took the time to get political during a phone interview with the AP, stressing the importance of voting in the primaries today, especially for all the young'uns. He said:
"If we want to stop the war, if we want to get the economy better, I think that young people need to understand they have to take matters into their own hands. It is really like waking up a sleeping giant. I didn't really want to get in the political game but I wanted to see young people become empowered. That's where my attention is at. To have an African-American man and a woman in, it's going to go down in history as the most historical election," he said. "And I think that young people will have a hand in the result."
These days celebrities are declaring their favorites, but does it influence your decision? Diddy put together a message for you, so to see him deliver his passionate video as well as check out more pictures read more
Leonardo DiCaprio must be voting absentee, because right now he's living the good life with his hot girlfriend Bar Refaeli down in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. It's almost a whole month since their last beach vacation, so it's understandable that he feels the need for another one. And it's not like it's any big secret why he would want to have his lady friend in a bikini as much as possible. It looks like while Leo was mostly enamored by his girl's assets, he also made sure to keep up to date on his BlackBerry and document his vacation on the digital camera. Most of all though, how much are you loving his beach hat?
Last week Ryan Phillippe was all bundled up to hit the slopes and yesterday he was in LA wearing considerably less clothing. Ryan's next project is going to require some muscle — he's slated to play a Viking warrior in the upcoming movie Last Battle Dreamer. Interestingly enough, his co-star in the film is his real-life leading lady Abbie Cornish, who probably appreciates Ryan's new buff bod as much as we do.
After a quick trip to London to shoot the Madonna video and celebrate his birthday with Jessica Biel, Justin Timberlake was back in NYC last night dining at — where else? — Southern Hospitality, before hitting up Butter. JT has a method of publicizing his BBQ joint down: paparazzi photos of him leaving, Super Bowl ad, success. He was in good spirits last night, but rumor has it that his trip overseas was more damage control than all work/play. According to Star, Jessica was pissed off about recent reports that he was flirting and making out with other girls while she was filming in the UK, but a hug and a kiss from Justin, and all was forgiven. I never took JT for the cheating type (hello "Cry Me A River" and "What Goes Around . . ."), so maybe the stories are just that. Though if he was being a little misbehaved, hopefully he learned his lesson.
Rihanna bundled up for her appearance on The Late Show and looked perfectly chic while waving to her New York fans. She kept things simple in all black but mixed patterns and textures to create a unique look.
