Rihanna took her sexy self to H&M for the launch of Fashion Against Aids in NYC yesterday. She was gracious enough to take her hands out of her pockets long enough to sign some autographs for fans. On the campaign she said, "There's an urgent need to do something in this target group. I love fashion and I love that it can be used in such a positive way to fight AIDS. I wanted to get involved with fashion against AIDS because it's a scary disease and it affects a lot of young people out there." Miss Rihanna has been making huge waves in the music industry in the past year, and this campaign seems like a great way for her to spread an important message to her many fans.

The annual Vienna Opera Ball took place in, where else, Vienna, Austria last night bringing out its usual bit of glitz and glamor. As is tradition, the businessman Richard Lugner chose himself a date to the big event and this year it was Dita Von Teese who was on his arm. A bit of a different choice than his date last year, Paris Hilton, who got into a little trouble when she looked super bored at the event. Of course Dita presented herself as perfect and statuesque for the event. Even Teri Hatcher looked good (and tall) out for the big ball. Past guests of Mr. Lugner other than Paris include Carmen Electra and Pamela Anderson — somehow Dita seems a little too demure and classy to be in that group, but hey, she fits right in on the red carpet here.

Jessica Simpson just got into NYC earlier this week, but it looks like she and Daisy were already on their way out yesterday leaving their hotel on the way to JFK. Guess this means no Fashion Week for these two this year. Speaking of looking your best, Miss Daisy seems a little not-so-fresh these days. The cute pooch's coat could use some work, but thankfully it's nothing a little shampoo and conditioner couldn't fix. As for Jess, her hair's looking fab even under her favorite Cowboys hat. It's pretty cute that she keeps showing the love for Tony even when they aren't together.

Jessica Alba and Cash Warren were the couple of the night at last night's premiere of The Eye in LA. At least Cash, who usually skips the red carpet, got all dressed up (other than the Chucks on his feet) to be on his lady's arm for her big event. Jessica went with something flowy rather than skin tight, but still posed to show off that growing and famous baby bump of hers. Jessica's been honest about not being entirely thrilled with the physical side effects of pregnancy, but she looks great. I'm sure she and Cash can't wait to meet their new addition in a few months and we know at least one other person in Hollywood is counting down the weeks too.

After her recent health scare and rumored vow to stay away from the overly paparazzi-infested states, Gwyneth Paltrow was spotted on her way out of the Kabbalah Centre in Manhattan yesterday. Maybe she's not so eager to ditch her homebase in NYC after all. Nor does it look like she's about to walk away from the red-string-religion, though we recently heard Demi/Ashton are on the way out. Heck, it looks like Gwyn even has a little smirk on her face, maybe on her way to a laugh? Anything resembling a smile seems like a good mood for her.

Ashlee and Pete went very matchy-matchy at Mist in Phoenix on Wednesday night with their all black outfits, sneakers and flat ironed hair. It's Pete's turn to play groupie while Ash is hitting up various cities around the country for her mini promo tour. We shared some of our interview with Ashlee and now we've got even more from Ash. In the final segment of the interview, Ashlee talks about her life outside of the music realm, discussing her favorite designers, makeup secrets and fitness tips. She also revealed that she still has to get thinking about her Valentine's Day gift for Pete. Luckily, it looks like they've got pretty similar taste so it shouldn't be too hard.
