For the second time this week, there was a dramatic scene at Britney's house. After not sleeping at all Tuesday night, Britney spent her Wednesday around LA with her entourage, dining with Adnan and fighting publicly with Sam. From there, the details are fuzzy, but things went downhill. What we know is that there are cops and helicopters at her house right now along with more photographers than usual. According to TMZ, rumors of a suicide attempt are untrue, but there is a psychiatrist at the house along with Lynne, Adnan, Sam and Alli who are fighting and trying once again to have Britney temporarily put under psychiatric care. Britney herself is said to be "out of it" and "unresponsive." We'll keep you updated as the story develops.
Update: Apparently it was Brit's psychiatrist who called the cops to help deal with the situation. Ambulances arrived on the scene and she is on her way to the hospital right now. Once again, she is there on a 5150 hold, meaning she has been deemed a danger to herself or others.
Update #2:According to TMZ, tonight was intricately planned out including clearing airspace as they transport Britney to the hospital. Britney was apparently not resistant to going, and we can only imagine how out of it she was after days without sleep. Tensions sound high among Sam, Lynne and Adnan. During this 72 hour stay she can't be forced to take medication, but supposedly the plan is for her Dr. to go to court and request that she be kept an additional 14 days to be treated.
While Fool's Gold looks a little iffy, there's no question how much we love the movie's two leads, Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey, who were both out in LA last night for the premiere. Kate was apparently too chilly (and frilly) to lose the coat while MM had Camila, who doesn't look to be showing much yet, on his arm. We heard a little of Kate gush about Matt becoming a dad, and MM's pretty excited himself for his new little buddy. He said, "Make no doubt about it. My kid will dance. He will be on the beach and he will be taking hikes with a wild bandana on." No surprises there. I love his little outdoors baby already. Fun fact about Miss Alves, she's not just a model, but she and her mom also apparently design (cough::heinous::cough) bags! Here's to hoping that even if this film is no How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days (maybe it's great!) cute cute Kate and Matty will be making movies together for years to come.
Katie Holmes looked refreshingly casual and dressed her age leaving Joan's on Third after grabbing lunch in Santa Monica yesterday. Tom and Suri didn't join her, so maybe Katie was making time for a business date. Her Mad Money wasn't much of a hit, so perhaps it's time she gets back to her other projects like that briefly rumored children's clothing line with Posh? Then again, we wouldn't mind seeing her jump on the baby bandwagon again to give Suri a little brother or sister sometime soon and clearly something is in the water in LA these days.
By night she's on stage as Posh Spice with the rest of the Girls, but by day Victoria Beckham fulfills her duties as reigning mistress of DVB jeans and mom to her three adorable boys. Yesterday she was in Boston for the stop on the Spice Girls tour, and she made a daytime solo appearance at the downtown Saks to pose on the red carpet in her denim and sign some autographs. A VB's work is never done, but at least she's recognized for her fabulousness. Victoria's Secret just awarded their twinsie named Victoria Beckham Sexiest Mom on their annual What Is Sexy? list. Well, I can name one proud husband who certainly seems to agree.
Rihanna packed up her little leopard print suitcase and headed back to LAX yesterday. We find it hard to believe that she managed to fit all of her stuff into such a small bag, but kudos to her if she really is a light packer. Rihanna knows how to make a many-layered outfit look hot, and we're not the only ones who have noticed — the pop star scored the title of Sexiest Female Musician on Victoria's Secret 2008 What is Sexy? list. She and Chris Brown both got named on the list, but after recent rumors maybe next year they'll be up for sexiest couple.
Rihanna bundled up for her appearance on The Late Show and looked perfectly chic while waving to her New York fans. She kept things simple in all black but mixed patterns and textures to create a unique look.
