For Hayden Panettiere, life isn't just about fancy clothes and parties, because her new passion is activism. After her attempts to stop a Japanese dolphin hunt failed in November, it looks like she's adopted a more diplomatic approach when it comes to saving whales. Over the weekend, she spoke at a rally in Washington, DC on behalf of the "Save the Whales Again!" campaign, and planned to meet with representatives from three of the countries that still allow whaling. The new voter even stopped by the Obama rally at American University yesterday to ask the candidate about his stance on whaling. She's so dedicated to her cause that she's even auctioning off items from her own closet to raise funds. Milo must be one proud boyfriend.

Mariah Carey is looking hotter than ever and I am actually excited to hear her latest single (Are we living in a bizarro world?). The denied-diva who had her meltdown a few years ago came back with a huge hit album in 2005. Now she is set to release That Chick in April and we have a feeling it will include many top 10 singles. Besides, we have such a soft spot for adorable Jack Jr. who she seems to be taking everywhere with her these days, including Gucci and the Van Cleef & Arpels Boutique on Rodeo Drive. I wonder what spoiled treat she bought for her pooch. It's not like he can't afford Gucci couture considering Mariah's just been named one of the Forbes Top Grossing Women in Music.

Oh swoon. David Beckham arrived in Brazil this afternoon looking hot hot hot under the scorching sun and modeling his wife's new anti-Melanoma t-shirt for Marc Jacobs. How cute is that? He's in South America to open the "David Beckham World of Sports" his newest academy and sports arena. Posh is in Boston with her girls (and boys) bringing their Spice tour back stateside, but obviously even halfway around the world David still has his (naked) wife close to his heart. Awwww.

Rihanna was all dressed in black and showing off that new haircut you all love so much as she made her way through LAX on Sunday. We've been fans of her style for a while now, and soon we won't have to wait for the rain to show off her designs. Rihanna is part of a project called fashion against AIDS, where celebrities team up with H&M to design tanks, tees and hoodies to promote AIDS awareness and raise money for the cause. The celebrity designs will launch on Thursday, so you could be wearing Rihanna's wares by this weekend, and all for a good cause.

Patrick Dempsey let someone else take control of the steering for his flight back into LAX after spending his weekend racing a car around the track in Daytona instead of showing off a tux on the red carpet with his costars. We wish he would be slipping right back into those scrubs and onto the set of Seattle Grace, but sadly there's no new Grey's coming our way yet. Sigh, well I guess we'll just have to suffer through these candid shots of McDreamy instead.
