Matthew Fox was looking pretty cute while looking out over the balcony of his hotel room in Sydney today with a couple of friends. It's been too long (9 months to be exact) since we've seen his pretty face on Lost, but the wait is finally over! Next Thursday we'll be kicking off the shortened season with a two-hour premiere, and we could not be more excited to get one of our favorite shows back in the midst of this strike-induced drought. Eight episodes may be just a tease after all this time, but right now it feels like a huge treat.

Rachel Bilson braved the harsh (heh) LA weather in her jacket and red hat visiting a friend yesterday afternoon. She also kept some precious cargo safe from the elements — those Christian Louboutins in their trademark bright red bag. Mmmm, lucky girl with Loubs to spare. While at Sundance, I was sad that Adam Brody didn't show up to the premiere of his Death in Love (though I totally had my camera ready and prime seat if he did) but the movie reminded me how endearing he can be. Especially considering the rest of the film was pret-ty disturbing. I know at this point that has nothing to do with Bilson, but I couldn't help think about Seth & Summer 4-Eva. Sigh. Okay, well I guess I'll take the cuteness I can get, especially since I'm in the minority keeping my fingers crossed that Jumper makes her a bonafide movie star.

• Stephen Colbert's campaign against wrist injuries, which he began after he broke his own wrist doing a lap around his stage, actually raised $171,525 for the Yellow Ribbon Fund, which benefits injured American soldiers and their families. Maybe Stephen really does deserve to have his portrait hanging in the Smithsonian! — E! Online

After she failed to win any visitation with her boys (despite briefly showing up at court) yesterday, Britney eased the pain by stocking up on some new goodies at PETCO. Her legal troubles are far from over, but lucky for her she doesn't have to deal with finding new representation just yet. Even though her firm Trope & Trope filed a petition to quit the case a few weeks ago, yesterday attorney Anne Kiley confirmed that they have withdrawn the petition. This is good news for Brit, but we wonder how they feel about the bizarre story of Britney showing up at a Beverly Hills elementary school in early January saying she was there to pick up her lawyers' kids. Apparently Britney also asked a woman there for her number claiming that she doesn't have many friends. Just another sad story that makes Britney sound in need of help.

Heidi Klum looked chic in a short Temperley dress yesterday in her home country of Germany, where she attended the launch of a calcium fortified mineral water called Bella Fontanis. No stranger to a promotional job, Heidi was doing her best to sell the product by talking about how much she likes the bottle's shape and how she prefers the water to milk. Water would go well with all the McDonald's Heidi loves to promote. Btw, did you catch Project Runway last night?
