Leonardo DiCaprio and his buddy Lukas Haas do everything together these days, and last night it was a courtside seats at the Lakers/Suns game in LA. Besties! From Paris to the Caribbean to Knot's Berry Farm, we rarely see Leo without Lukas by his side and vice versa. Unfortunately for the boys, the Lakers lost last night, but there's no way to complain when you're getting that kind of view of the game. It sounds like Leo is keeping himself very busy with projects these days (Lukas not so much), so methinks we'll be seeing a lot more of these boys all through 2008.

The Screen Actors Guild Awards are the only trophies sure to be presented to an audience of glammed-up celebrities this awards season as long as the writers' strike is still in full swing. We at Sugar are hoping this all gets settled in time for the Oscars, but we're also not going to miss the chance to do the SAGs up big.
That's why we're launching a contest to pick the winners in several of the major categories. Here's what you need to do to enter: Just log into your TeamSugar account and fill out this ballot before noon PST on Jan. 27. The person with the best guesses wins one full year of Netflix service. If you're not a registered user, be sure to sign up before filling out your ballot. For the official rules click here. Good luck!

Ben Affleck has landed in DC to begin researching his role in State of Play. The movie was originally a dream cast reunion of Brad Pitt and Edward Norton, but those guys have bailed and Ben has replaced Norton. Affleck's character is a politician on the rise, which seems like a dream role for the actor who has certainly never shied away from speaking his mind on political matters. While in town Ben met with Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and delegates from his home state of Massachusetts, and apparently all the women working on the Hill rushed to have their picture taken with him upon hearing that he was on the premises. Even if Ben was second choice for the film, it sounds like he's still ranked pretty high with the ladies down in DC.

Rachel Bilson looked effortlessly fabulous to run some errands around LA yesterday. Hayden wasn't in the passenger seat this time around, but luckily she had Thurman Murman to keep her company. Even with a new boyfriend and new movie coming out, we love that Rachel always makes time for her furry little buddy who she is confiding her deepest secrets to. She also stopped at Kinko's to get a new picture for her passport — thrilling stuff. Just last month she was over in Dubai, but maybe she needs a fresh new passport to promote Jumper all over the world. Yay for us, that means more Bilson looking precious like always.

Sundance Film Festival officially kicked off last night starting with the screening of Colin Farrell's In Bruges. You know what that means, a couple weeks of some of our favorite movie stars and newcomers all bundled up to brave that f-f-freezing Park City, Utah weather. Mary-Kate Olsen (who looks a lot like Ashley here...why am I so bad at this game these days) was extra smiley out to celebrate the start of the festival — and her bizarre sounding move The Wackness gets its very own Sundance premiere this weekend. Here's the fun part, BuzzSugar and I are headed to Park City, Utah this weekend to join in on the 2008 Sundance fun, see some great movies (and hopefully have some great celebrity sightings). We'll be keeping you updated on all the industry action and of course gossip, so stay tuned!
