Black and White dominated the red carpet in a major way at Chanel's Nuit de Diamants at The Plaza in NYC last night. Ed Burns and Christy Turlington I think have to win cutest couple, but Ellen and Chris were living up the glam as well. I don't want to say anything, but Gossip boy Penn Badgley looks like he may have tossed back a few before the party. Heh. Both Julia Stiles and Selma Blair kept it classic in black, but achieved very different looks. It was a night of classic beauty all around in Manhattan while color found another place to party for the night.
J. J. Abram's anticipated new release, Cloverfield, premiered in LA last night and the town's hottest stars and starlets couldn't stay away. Lindsay Lohan strutted her stuff and scowl in a skin tight LBD on the red carpet for the first time since rehab. Pete and Ashlee were enthusiastic about the big event — and don't forget to tell us your questions for Ashlee. The girls of The Hills were out in full effect with LC who has a newly announced upcoming runway show, Audrina, Heidi and Spencer who obviously couldn't keep their hands off each other. Plus, hey, present for you — here's a little John Krasinski the man you most want to see more of in 2008. Since it's been so long since a new episode of The Office, it's better than nothing. This may not be your No. 1 choice of movies this weekend, but I'm excited to see how it fares after all the hype.

While Katie was busy promoting Mad Money all over NYC, Tom was on daddy duty yesterday. Cruise was lucky enough to get some help from his buddy Jerry Seinfeld. Looks like their double date the night before went very well. Jerry is even kind enough to help schlep Suri's diaper bags around Manhattan. Although Jerry is not a Scientologist he has said it helped him become a better stand up comedian. I wonder what he has to say about the recent Scientology video making the rounds these days.
Thankfully the photos showing Britney and Adnan purchasing the pregnancy test were just to mess with us. Original, isn't it? Sam Lutfi said it was all BS and they were "just toying with the paparazzi." In fact, the agency that sold the images happened to be the same one Adnan works for. Maybe Brit cut a deal with them since she could use the income. The pregnancy news would have been troubling so now that we can all say phew to that scary rumor, let's move on to the latest Brit story. Page Six reports that Britney will sue Dani Brubaker, the photographer who sold images of Britney and her boys to OK! magazine. Most of you thought she was wrong to sell them so maybe this is one legal battle Britney will easily win. In the meantime, Britney was busy dining with Adnan in her ripped fishnet stockings. Classy.
Katie Holmes and Queen Latifah were among the many stars that had to sit out the Golden Globes this year, but they got to have a little awards ceremony of their own on BET yesterday. Katie presented her Mad Money co-star with the trophy Queen Latifah won for her performance in Life Support. Not quite as exciting as making a speech in a room full of Hollywood's finest, but it's better than nothing right? Katie looks a lot more animated than she did during her Monday morning interviews, but she could just be a really good faker.
Kate Moss was all smiles leaving the SingStar Take That Extravaganza in London. She took a casual approach to the night, opting for patent leather flats and mismatched blacks.
