Jessica Alba's still not showing much of a baby bump, but it looks like she was feeling the effects of her pregnancy with her hand on her belly as she tried out a few different looks with some wigs for a photoshoot in LA yesterday. She's already started popping up on magazine covers to start promoting The Eye. In the February issue of CosmoGirl, Jessica talks about educating herself and preparing for roles, saying,
"I regret not going to college. Although honestly, I didn't have the time to go because I started working so young. The way I have gotten over that is to try to educate myself as much as possible. Instead of feeling sorry for myself that I didn't go to college, I read many different things that interest me, like books on science and philosophy. I also like to learn everything about the characters I play."
Jessica hasn't really played a lot of deep roles in the past, so we'll be interested to see how her research for The Eye pays off when the movie hits theaters in February.
After an exhausting few weeks of the party circuit and vacationing alongside Nick/Vanessa, Pete and Ashlee were back in LA Wednesday caffeinating at Starbucks with Pete's English bulldog Hemingway. Aww, love his jowls (the dog, not Pete). This guy looks a little more cuddly than his monkey buddy from the red carpet last summer. Ashlee seems content being by Pete's side rather than out promoting that new single of hers, but doggy duty is an important responsibility, too.
After Katie's big red-carpet premiere of Mad Money, she and Tom headed off to celebrate with dinner at one of their favorite LA joints, Cut. Katie covered up her fabulous dress in a warm, winter-white coat, letting her perfectly coiffed hair look a little more relaxed. While that bob caused quite the stir when she first chopped it off, she finds ways to keep us guessing with all her styling choices. It was no surprise that everything Katie said at her premiere last night was unbelievably glowing about her life and family. Here are some highlights:
On Suri: "She's talking so much — more and more every day. It's beautiful to watch. And she's running around. We're painting. We're coloring. It's incredible."
On Suri being a mini-me: "I see it and then see a lot of Tom, and then I think she's her own person."
On having Tom/Suri on set: "Having [20-month-old daughter] Suri and Tom [on set] was wonderful," she added. "You think you love to do something and then you have the people you love there. It makes it a billion times better and you didn't realize you were missing that before. It's like 'Oh my God, life can be this good.'"
On Nicole Kidman's pregnancy: "I'm so happy for her. It's wonderful."
While I do love that Katie seems so genuinely happy, the constant gushing can be a little bit of overkill. That said, I can't blame her — seeing them with little Suri has a tendency to bring out the awwwww in all of us.

In the past few months, Adrian Grenier has made a few decisions that we're not thrilled about, like working with Paris and spending Christmas with LL. Now we're hearing that he was acting like a total douche and tried to pick up a girl in NYC by telling her that he's a documentary filmmaker and wasted no time asking if he could take her home and "f*ck the sh*t out of her." This doesn't sound like the floppy-haired, eco-conscious Adrian we've come to know and love, so tell us — do you think Adrian is turning into a sleaze bag?
Patrick Dempsey looked pretty stylin' for a man who just came from the gym in LA yesterday, except for his messy, wet hair. Drooling over McDreamy in photos and Versace ads is fun and all, but we're psyched to see him back on the small screen in Grey's tonight. Of course the experience will be bittersweet since it will be the last episode before writers' strike hiatus, but let's hope it will be good enough to hold us over for a few months.
Rachel Zoe was photographed walking down Robertson, Starbucks in hand, looking ready for some serious shopping. She looked chic in her round sunglasses and Chanel bag, which she wore with of-the-moment thigh-high boots, a denim Current/Elliott biker jacket, and printed scarf.
