Your favorite mommy/baby duo of 2007 (poll is still going, but they're really running away with it) Jennifer Garner and Violet practiced hailing cabs in Manhattan today. Look at little Violet: She's like a native New Yorker already. The whole family seems to be loving their holiday time in the city — plus, how could you resist the cuteness of Violet looking like a bear all bundled up in her stroller? It's good to see that the slightly better weather has those trademark smiles back on Jennifer and Violet's dimpled faces.

Rising star of 2007, Rihanna struck a pose in her fringed flapper style dress for a photoshoot with Allure magazine. She's still got her bob on the magazine cover, but she was recently spotted with longer locks and Bella wants to know whether you love it or hate it. Besides talking beauty, Rihanna gets down to the juicy details (or lack thereof) of that rumored love affair between her and Josh Hartnett that we heard about a few months ago. She said,

"This is what really happened. He and my management, they have each other's contact information. I went to (the New York club) Pink Elephant, and he came by. All of a sudden, the next day, I'm seeing that we were kissing and hugging up each other. You can't even go out with a friend who's a celebrity and have a good time without people making (bleep) up. Well, at least he's good-looking, right?"

Hmm, sounds like Rihanna is still getting used to her life in the spotlight and media. We can't help but wonder if this means that those rumors about her and Shia were all just hearsay too.

Fergie looks a little too airbrushed all sexed up (surprise, surprise) for the January issue of Blender. The magazine named her woman of the year, prompting both a few tears from the Fergalicious singer and for her to open up about all sorts of things. Yeah, apparently if you get a few drinks in her, she'll talk about peeing onstage . . . and being in love with Josh Duhamel. Here are highlights:

• On being named woman of the year: “I might not be the most talented person in the world. . . . I might not have the best voice. I might not be the prettiest or the best dancer. But I’ve worked very hard, and I’ve gone through humiliation. That’s why winning an award means so much more to me than it does to other people.”
• On not needing to marry Josh: "We’re practically married, anyway. I’m madly in love with him. He understands how to treat a woman and give me respect. And I’m gonna miss him on tour. [Her eyes start to drip, and then she turns mean.] Here I go again. Don’t make me cry, you f*****."
• On fame: “It’s like there’s one or two things the public knows about every famous person. . . . With Ashlee Simpson, everyone knows she had a nose job. With me, everyone knows I wet my pants onstage and had a crystal-meth addiction; that sucks. You have to laugh.”

While, sure, Fergs seems a little off kilter, you have to love her honesty and ability to be self-deprecating. Hell, she even talks about how much her dad hates "London Bridge." • The release date for Tom Cruise's Valkyrie has been pushed back from July to October 2008, because filming has yet to be completed. This movie has seemed doomed from the start. — Variety

• An arrest warrant for Daniel Baldwin, which was issued after he missed a court date related to a 2006 cocaine arrest, was canceled yesterday after he relayed to a judge that his absence was due to being stuck working in Toronto. Those Baldwin boys always have an excuse. — AP

After Britney skipped out on her deposition (and then proceeded to leave her house late at night) last week, Kevin Federline's lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan was ready to take action and didn't want Britney to have any more allowances. Now we're hearing that he's planning to go to court today to talk to the judge about Britney's behavior. Supposedly he may ask that Britney's custody privileges be revoked until she sits for the deposition, and may try to prevent Britney's lawyers to get Kevin's deposition until Britney gives hers. He also wants to push back the hearing to determine custody of the kids and whether or not Britney can drive the boys again from January to April.

On a happier note for Brit, even though her album dropped off the charts pretty quickly, she came in at No. 1 on a Billboard poll for best album of the year. The results were determined by visitors of Billboard.com, so it sounds like Britney still has a large base of loyal fans to rely on despite her trainwreck of a year.

Katherine Heigl and Josh Kelley are just days away from their big wedding this Sunday and from the looks on their faces they are clearly excited about their upcoming nuptials. Katherine recently talked to Extra about how she's feeling in the home stretch. She said, “I’m mostly panicking about all the details, and getting there, traveling, transportation, talking to the pastor, getting the license. We’ve talked a lot about it, like, ‘Are you having any second thoughts here?’ And he’s like, ‘No, I’m so ready for this to happen.’ It’s already been 18 months of planning and we’re both just ready for this to happen already."

Katherine also told Extra about wanting to start a family in about year. We know that she's one of the most annoying celebrities of 2007, but are you at least a little interested in checking out her wedding photos?
