Wow — we haven't even posted our most shocking headlines of 2007 yet, but this may just make the list. After an on again off again year, People reports that Jessica Alba and Cash Warren are expecting their first baby. Her rep has confirmed the news saying, "I can confirm that Jessica and Cash are expecting a baby in late spring, early summer." Congrats to the happy couple who have a very big year ahead of them! Are you surprised by this news?

This year Wednesday night is guilty pleasure night on The CW with America's Next Top Model and Gossip Girl, and now we can add
Crowned: The Mother Of All Pageants to the list. The show pits eight mother-daughter pairs against each other in a beauty pageant competition, which sounds like the makings of some serious drama. As if that's not recipe enough for classic reality TV moments (and guaranteed cat fights) the judges for the show are former Miss USA and general troublemaker Shanna Moakler, Queer Eye's Carson Kressley and Cynthia Garrett. Check out the premiere tonight on The CW at 9 after the finale of ANTM and starting next week it'll be at 8 right before GG. Something tells me it will be deliciously naughty fun.

Tom Cruise and Will Smith continued to bond across the country at the I Am Legend premiere in NYC. This time around Jada joined in on the fun with the rest of the family. Love her in green but she's wowed me more before. I think it's pretty sweet how the Cruises support their friends so much. Between Spice Girls concerts to events like this, Tom and Katie always seem to be by their sides yet somehow they are in dead last on the BFF poll of 2007. My guess is Tom's scary Scientology beliefs have scared many of you off but since his friends have declared he is not recruiting them maybe we should just realize they have Legend - wait for it - ary relationships.

Lots more of Tom, The Smiths, Pete Wentz, Mary J Blige, Benjamin McKenzie and more so just read more

Well, I guess that answers my question about whether Sarah Larson got the invite to the Nobel Laureate event where George and Don Cheadle are set to be honored tomorrow night. After a quick stop in Milan, the couple was in Rome last night having a romantic dinner. Clooney is in town to be lauded for his work with Darfur, and the actor announced that he has plans to return to the area in January. He spoke to USA Today about it:

Q: What's the plan?
A: I'm not a politician, so the reason I go is to (focus) attention there. So we're going to try to get deeper into Darfur; try to get some cameras in to the tougher camps and have conversations. That's basically all I can do. If you put famous people in front of very ugly sites, people will watch.
Q: Have you been following your pal Brad Pitt's crusade in New Orleans?
A: It's a life choice for him and a big part of his life. Matt (Damon) does that, too. Don (Cheadle). A lot of the guys who are good friends of mine spend a good portion of their life doing this. In some ways, it's easier for us because we have some financial security, so we can say, "OK, let's stop worrying about ourselves and look out for other people." What should you do with all this kind of attention? Should you get out of a car without wearing underwear … ?

While Tom was off supporting his buddy Will Smith across America, Katie Holmes held down the fort in LA yesterday. She left her mini shopping partner at home this time around, but still took a page from Suri's book and got in the holiday spirit with some festive red pants. Tom and Katie looked like they were having lots of fun cheering on the Spice Girls last week and the two caught the show again in Vegas on Sunday. Now that Tom's away and Suri's at home, Katie has alone time to find the perfect holiday gifts for the family.

Britney Spears better be ready to talk. After a two-week break from court for her legal team, it's Britney's big day. She is set to give her deposition (under oath, of course) to Kevin's lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan, in his office this morning. She's expected at 10 am, and it could take all day, or more, depending on how much he has to ask and how much Brit talks. Against Kaplan's wishes (and agreeing with most of yours) Britney's testimony will not be videotaped. Though, considering how many of their custody battle legal documents have made it to the public, I'm sure we'll know the details of her deposition soon enough. Stay tuned, we'll be on top of Brit's big, and hopefully on time, day.
