Keira Knightley, no stranger to a magazine cover, found time between movie premieres to sit down with Interview. She stars in a rather racy photo shoot and discusses her upcoming film Atonement, why she's viewed as old Hollywood, and why she keeps taking her clothes off for magazines. Here's more:
On the characters in Atonement: Everybody has regrets. Everybody feels guilty about something, though hopefully not for something as bad as what happens in the movie. But that’s what is wonderful about the book and the film — you understand where these people are coming from. The situation may be completely different from ones I’ve experienced or that most people have experienced, but the core emotions are the same — that we all make mistakes, and sometimes we’re horrendous to each other. It’s the Robbie character [played by James McAvoy] that I find truly heartbreaking, because at the beginning he’s really Christ-like in his goodness — he’s a selfless, perfect person — and in a funny way I don’t think we can ever handle it when someone is that good, so what we do is destroy them.
Matthew McConaughey cleaned up real nice (just like a good spokesmodel should) for the launch of Dolce & Gabbana's new fragrance at the Gramercy Park hotel in NYC last night. It certainly didn't hurt that he had his gorgeous girlfriend Camila Alves on his arm. Also out to celebrate the scent were starlets like Anne Hathaway and a stylish Mischa Barton (where has she been?). Kate Hudson was also in the house to support her Fool's Gold costar's new modeling deal, but rather than bring out another new coat for the event she repeated the white fur number to go with her gray ankle booties. All it takes is a shower, a shave, and a fancy suit to remind me how hot MM can be (sigh, A Time To Kill), but has his grungy beach running/general dirtiness ruined him forever for you?
Celebrity Style: Heidi Klum Hot mama and supermodel Heidi Klum attended a Project Runway discussion in just enough sparkle to make her stand out but not stick out. She toned down her sequined tank and scarf with a too-cool blazer, dark skinny jeans, and black patent pumps.
Lately it seems like a rare moment when we catch Britney Spears without her new favorite BFF/manager Sam Lutfi. Something about him has always felt a bit off and apparently Sam also comes with some baggage, not to mention a record. Us Weekly reports that Lutfi has had two restraining orders against him and even has multiple aliases. Sounds a little shady to us, but what do you think — is Sam Lutfi bad news for Britney?
While Sacha was in NY premiering his new movie Sweeney Todd, Isla Fisher spent yesterday afternoon showing little Olive around the Grove in LA in her Bugaboo. Awww, look at the little munchkin. So, so cute. Sacha's new movie should be a holiday hit, but he's still getting flack for the flick that put him on the map in the US. Apparently he's getting sued (again) by someone who appeared in Borat. Unfortunately for that guy, from what I understand the consent waivers (which most people neglected to read) were pretty iron clad. Probably just a momentary glitch in the excellent year that Sacha has been having alongside his two best, beautiful girls.
Jenna Dewan walked down the street in Beverly Hills looking extremely chic and poised. Her structured white blazer framed her body perfectly, and paired well over her draped fringe Haute Hippie halter, denim leggings, and over-the-knee brown boots.
