Mischa Barton put on her best pout to go along with her vinyl leather outfits in a photoshoot for the January 2008 issue of Arena magazine. These aren't our favorite photos of her, but she definitely knows how to work it for the cameras. These days it may feel like the stars of our beloved OC are fading away to make room for promising young newcomers, but don't count Mischa out just yet. Right now she's got six movies in the works, one of which co-stars Bruce Willis. Almost half of you thought that Mischa should stick with modeling, but we're still interested to see if she can make it as a movie star.

As much as Katherine Heigl (and even more, Izzie Stevens, and I'm admittedly not very good at separating them in my head) bugs me, I can't deny that she's impossibly pretty and endearingly happy with her hubby-to-be Josh Kelley. Side note: Doesn't Josh look a little like Trey from The OC on the right? Anyway, moving on. The two had another leisurely day in LA stopping off for smoothies and then meeting up with her mom for lunch and no doubt some wedding talk. Boo to there being no new Grey's Anatomy this week, right? Looks like we've got a whole nother week of seeing Katherine lunch before we get the conclusion to the nail biting (but at least it's not a ferry crash) two part event.

After her Thanksgiving trip to Texas with her rumored new man Tony Romo, Jessica Simpson got all done up to spend Wednesday night out with Ken Paves in LA. Jessica even seized the moment to do a little shameless promotion for their hair extension line, Hairdo. On Thursday she was spotted boarding a private jet and it just so happens that Tony's Dallas Cowboys played last night — if Jessica made it there she's a lucky charm, he threw four touchdowns to win the game. Of course, no Jess romance would be complete without creepy Joe rumors. At least this time it sounds like Joe just passed on his daughter's number when the QB asked and Jess gave the okay. With a tough magazine cover to face this week, cheering on a new man from the sidelines sounds like a great way to relax.

Britney Spears kept up her constant string of Primp hoodies, back in the black one on her way into the Four Seasons (natch) last night. She looked a little worried, but I can't blame the girl for being stressed with the paparazzi swarm — hell, her driver couldn't handle it for more than a couple nights before quitting. Britney shot her new video for "Piece of Me" into the wee hours of Thursday morning, but rather than wait until January to see that hit on MTV, Jive wants to see what her fans can come up with. Starting Monday, they're holding a make your own video contest for the new single and the winning one will air on TRL Dec. 20. So what do you think, any amateur video director out there eager to show off a piece of Britney?

Lindsay and her leggings were reunited yesterday but not for long. Also missing in action is her boy Riley. We don't blame her for wanting a little break after taking him home for Thanksgiving, especially if he were acting like a jerk. In fact, LL may already be weighing her other options. Apparently she was spotted leaving Matsuhisa restaurant on Wednesday just a few minutes after her ex (and Mary-Kate's, and Paris'), Stavros Niarchos, walked out. Of course, this could just be a coincidence, or a friendly meal. From Samantha to Stavros in one night, LL seems to be reconnecting with some of her old friends. Those two might not be the best influences, but we are starting to think Riley's days are numbered.

Penelope Cruz looked gorgeous in just a perfect shade of blue at last night's Spanish Institute's Gold Medal Gala in New York City. She went into the event bare necked, but it didn't stay that way for long — she walked out accessorized with her very own gold medal. She was still missing another great outfit addition, however, her man Javier. The adorable couple clearly isn't ready to fully embrace the red carpet coupledom just yet. At least there's no way she could shy away from the paparazzi (or even not want a million photos taken) when she looks this great.
