Joaquin was back to work on Two Lovers, and this time we actually get a peek at one of the ladies. Gwyneth joined him on the set in Brooklyn yesterday, looking fresh faced and fabulous after eating her way through Spain for her upcoming PBS series with Mario Batali. These photos are definitely less aggressive than some of the others we've seen, like Joaquin throwing himself into a wall, so hopefully there are at least a few sweet love scenes to balance out the painful (and freezing side) of making this film.

It was a fun-filled (can't you just feel the excitement?) convention of pregnant Australian actresses last night in Sydney, as Cate Blanchett and Toni Collette celebrated with Cate's husband Andrew Upton at the premiere of the play Toy Symphony. While Cate just announced the pregnancy of her third child two weeks ago, Toni's first child is due in December. Even though it's always a treat to see high-fashion Cate, her geek-chic glasses actually look pretty cute on the usually glamorous actress.

Blake Lively and Leighton Meester were looking very happy together on the set of Gossip Girl yesterday. The girls look fabulous as usual, from their trendy outfits right down to their flawless skin and Bella is willing to share one of their secrets with you. We are already counting down the minutes to see the aftermath of Blair and Chuck's scandalous hookup last week. Apparently, tonight's episode will be packed with the usual treats — not only do we get a birthday party for Blair, but the episode will feature 5 songs from the band The Virgins. We can't wait!

The striking Writers Guild members were joined on the picket line by veteran and current TV as well as movie stars yesterday. While most of the focus thus far has been the effect of the strike on our television, the movie writers are out there too. Jack Black and Ben Stiller were there holding down the film actor front. Can you handle Ben's Blue Steel? Some of our favorite Friends Lisa Kudrow and Matthew Perry were on the front lines with adorable Mila Kunis and some of the people whose show may be most affected by the strike, Scrubs' Zach Braff and Donald Faison. Meanwhile, Jay Leno kept it nonchalant showing up on his motorcycle — he's been put in a particularly hard position this week with his show, leaving NBC to think about other options. Click here to check out the latest news on the strike. Into week two with no sign of this strike ending anytime soon, I just hope that the writers keep getting support for as long as they are out there on the line.

Drew Barrymore looked pouty but pretty in her fab 40s era outfit around the set of Grey Gardens in Toronto yesterday. From period piece to her gorgeous Gucci ads, we've been seeing all sorts of sides of flower child Drew. Last time we saw Drew on the set she was in all white and we're excited to see the rest of the ladies in their fabulous wardrobes, especially now that Jeanne Tripplehorn has signed on as the role of Jackie O in the film.
