Mandy Moore looked a little blah leaving a home decor store in LA yesterday afternoon. She's one of those girls who can go from glamorous to every day in a few short hours, but it's still always a little bit surprising. Her Fiji water bottle makes me think she may be pre/post workout, but I can't deride Mandy for keeping it low key just running some errands. For the number of hours she spends cramming herself into super high heels and tight dresses, she deserves to get comfy in her down time.
Jessica Alba had a busy day in NYC yesterday, stopping by TRL before bundling up to go out with Cash at night. Alicia Keys joined Jess in the MTV studio to promote her new album, As I Am, and Bella wants to know what you think of her middle-part/straight-hair look. As for Jessica, she was spreading the word about Awake, which hits theaters Nov. 30. The movie looks pretty intense, but she and Alicia were able to make light of the dark subject matter with a friendly game of Operation. Hopefully, California-native Jessica is enjoying her time in NYC, because if those Broadway rumors are true she's going to have a lot more time to enjoy the unpredictable weather.
The Biggest Loser Recap: Singledom Last night on The Biggest Loser the game was back to being about getting healthy, doing it for yourself, and making me cry. The game changed and it's finally every man for himself. Yay! While they still have loyalties to their colors, we should see their strategies being much more about individual goals than back stabbing.
Odd couple Rachel Bilson and Ben Affleck came out in NYC this morning to help unveil Cartier's holiday cards to benefit The Art of Elysium. Between all the kids and Miss Bilson, I'm not sure what's cuter. Look how much taller Ben is than Rachel even in those hot red shoes. Though, she makes Santa look pretty tall too — she's just tiny. All sorts of R-Bils treats this week with her on Chuck (call me biased, but she was so great!) and now here showing off how handy she is with glitter. Ben's crafts skills look pretty good too, methinks he's been practicing with Violet at home. Meanwhile, I wonder if Ben called his BFF Matt to congratulate him on being awarded his long overdue Sexiest Man Alive status?
Jessica Simpson strolled through NYC in a puffy, metallic jacket and a big smile yesterday. Things seem to be over with Owen Wilson before it even began and now, a source close to Jess says her relationships are planned based on how they can help her career. So dating John Mayer was to promote A Public Affair and she's hoping being seen with Owen will help her be accepted as a country star. Some of Jessica's men have seemed a bit random, but we'd like to think more of her than that. So tell us — do you think her love life is run by her career?
Natalie Portman looked flawless in her LWD and sassy red shoes at the TRL studios on Monday. Usually, we'd expect to see her posing with her best funny faces in front of the infamous green wall, but it looks like MTV gave Natalie the royal treatment — her very own couch to sit on! Her Mr. Magorium co-stars weren't by her side this time, but the movie looks like so much fun that we bet it won't take very much to score big at the box office when it opens in theaters this Friday.
