When production on Desperate Housewives shut down indefinitely yesterday afternoon, the 'wives themselves took to the picket lines, self-promoting t-shirts front and center. Hopefully, the actors and actresses who are out there on the lines for now will still support their scribes days and weeks after they stop filming. And here's to this scene in particular being more than just a photo-op for Eva, Marcia and Nicollette. Methinks we'll be seeing even more of these three out on the town now that Wisteria Lane has entered involuntary hiatus.

Keanu Reeves hit Il Sole with a friend on Wednesday night, and it looks like he might have enjoyed a few beverages over dinner. We don't blame him for unwinding with a glass of wine or two, especially after earlier this week when he was slapped with a lawsuit for supposedly hitting a paparazzo with his Porsche. While we're still hoping that Keanu's scraggly beard is for a role, we can't hold anything against this reclusive actor. Guess we'll just have to sit tight and wait until he wants to shave so we can see him all cleaned up again.

Fresh off her hot night at the CMAs Nicole Kidman looked kinda freezing (not to be confused with frigid) at the NYC premiere of Margot at the Wedding last night. No wonder why she didn't take off her coat. Jamie-Lynn Sigler and Adrian Grenier were similarly bundled up, but not Helena Christensen. Because supermodels do not feel cold, obviously. Also, rewinding for a second, Adrian looks a little, shall we say, squinty eyed in his white pants. Methinks he was really enjoying himself at the premiere. Good times.

David Beckham did some duty free shopping (and hiding) at the Vancouver airport yesterday on his way to Minnesota for another friendly match. Becks recently made it clear that he would love to rejoin England's national team, but unfortunately, Wednesday night's exhibition match wasn't his finest performance. That said, he still has high hopes saying, "We'll have to wait and see. All I have to do is keep myself fit and put myself in the position to be selected for the national team and keep my fingers crossed that I will." Beckham hasn't had the easiest time career-wise since his move to LA, so we're hoping things turn around for him soon.

Hayden Panettiere stopped off at a newsstand after her morning workout in LA yesterday. While we've been waiting to see how our favorite shows like Heroes will be affected by the writers' strike, Hayden talked to Ellen about how the show has affected her personal life. This included her recent decision to travel to Japan and try to save dolphins with an activist group. She said, "[The show] is about being a hero. And you know, it's kinda rubbed off on me. I don't think if I was as recognizable in the public eye that it would have made as much of an impact." From there, Hayden got into the heart-wrenching details of trying to save the dolphins — watch the video after the jump.
